so basiclly i need money so in order to get money i have desided to get a job i havent relly had a job before (other then a paper route when i was 12) so any way your help is apreciated

getting a first job sucks cause you have no previous experience.. my only recommendation is keep trying and hang in there cause its gonna take awhile.

Being a bussboy at a resaurant is always good. Or try and get in on some lawn maintence work. You can't get experience without getting out there, everyone starts somewhere.

people always say the 1st job is the hardest but i dont think it has been any diff. besides you know the way things go down better

also.. dont be afraid to go into a place and ask for an app, when you do introduce yourself to the manager and maybe even fill out the app while there.. make a resume even if its just like.. mowing the lawn n shit. if you just fill out an app and bring it back they'll nevr glance at it.. you have to be memorable.. but not in a bad way.

always fill it out there or else they might think u cant right for yourself or u had somone else fill it out cuz your to lazy

get an application at a desired place , fill it out, set up an interview, get a job, collect mad skrilla

My first job involving a legit paycheck was a video editor.

I feel for you, I never had to go through those rough first jobs but it probably would've been a good life skill to have.

yeah just dont have any dignity and apply everywhere. you cant get turned down by 50 places. well not like me anyway.

Be persistant also... If they say they're going to call you back, wait a day or two then call them. It will show them that you really want the job

well i couldn't get a job like that this summer and i have experience, but now im programming, so it's all good. just apply to everywhere, if you can work more than just the summer it helps a ton, that was my problem. but you wouldn't believe kohls told me i wasn't qualified enough (they had all high school kids working there...and im an engineering student in college, guess i can't fold clothes)

it shouldn't be too hard to get a small part time job. fill out an application at some local place then follow up a few days later asking them if they got the application... Then go in for an interview or get hired!

get a general app, fill it out and make a bunch of copies. get cleaned up and look sharp, go into local businesses and ask if they have any job openings or open positions.

also, even if you haven't had job experience, try and get a job doing something that you do as a hobby. for instance, i love cooking, food, and going out to eat. during my interview i told the chef that i had never worked in a restaurant, but i love food and cooking. i got hired that night.

this is what got me a job as a prep chef in one of the two top restaurants in town, and ive never worked in a kitchen before.

if its possible stick to places that have help wanted signs because most other places already have full staffs but it cant hurt to try. Ive worked at the same restraunt for 3 years and they have someone let go and another hired everyother month it seams. have good references not just friends of the family, maybe a guidance counselor from school or something, good luck!

caddy at a country club, its easy to get hired, you show up when you want, and make a shit load...

but its only a weekend job so if you need like a real job dont cady

Look good, smile, and be personable in the interview. I've never failed to get a job offer from an interview and that's all I do. Apply at a few places, follow up (call them and ask if you can schedule an interview) and you'll have one in no time.
