Tips on how to do 5s with sick grabs

Start with a basic safety grab, and the main thing is to make sure and bring your feet up to you, rather than reaching all the way down for it. This will help keep you on axis. Once you get a few good safety's down, you can start mixing up the grab and trying some different stuff.

Practice the grab that you want to put in the 5 in like a 3

after that practice again

and then practice

At then and when you'll put everything together practice again

also waiting helps, don't try to grab as you're setting the spin or you'll go off axis wait until you're at 180 and on the right axis before grabbing
 
yep might not be the answer you want to hear because it involves time and dedication but its the best and only way
 
I say try not to worry about the spin too much. Once your 5s are super consistent, just set your spin at the beginning, then just focus on the grab. Your instincts will bring the spin around. Just really work on reaching and tweaking your body for whatever grab you want.
