Hey guys so i have been riding park for like three years now and have been wanting to learn to 180. I just can't get the guts to try it. Any tips?

well, first off, you need the guts to try any trick. find a small jump, pop off the lip, start your rotation, throw your arms and weight, keeping your head looking the direction you're spinning, pull your skis around, and bend your knees on the landing. hope you get it soon, man!

Well it's pretty simple, it's best to practice on a side jump with a moderately flat landing, you want to start off slow and once you pop off the lip just look over your shoulder and turn your skis.

And it's best to practice riding switch for the landing

start on flat ground and work your way up to chads gap

Just go straight to chads, more time for the rotation. Also make sure to start with your arms out like jesus, then pull em in tight to your chest like dracula, this will help you finish the 180 degree rotation. Good luck and always wear helmet.

sounds like your major problem is YOU ARE A FUCKING PUSSY. replace your XXL tampon, tuck the meat curtains in and fucking do a 360

its actually an easy trick. you just have to get around the mental block and try it. once you do, it seems really easy. i would probably try the first one one on a knuckle. good luck!

the gnar straight airs man

when you say youve been "skiing park" does this just mean skiing through the park or do you mean actually hitting features

Get comfortable skiing backwards, then get comfortable spinning between forward and backward on snow. Then try spinning as you come off the top of ridges/bumps, initially you don't even need to be in the air at all. Then do it at higher speed where you'll be just part way off the ground. Then do it a little faster where you're a little off the ground. Then do it faster where you're further off the ground. Work up that way. Then start doing it off jumps and other bigger stuff after you're comfortable doing it off little bumps and ridges.

If you're talking BIG kickers don't try to spin or you'll over rotate. Just leave the kicker with your shoulders at a 90 degree angle in the direction you want to spin and shifty it out for the landing

Op never learned a 180. He's actually pro and can do most tricks but he skipped "the first trick" and went straight to a 360

Solid advice thanks for the positive feedback!

First, get yourself some twin tippers. Then you're gonna want to get comfortable doing the switch(this means going backways). When you do that you are ready to try the lowest level of whirly birds. Try standing on the lip of the jump with your skis off and in-vision yourself doing the 180's. While up there, you should spin around, in both directions, like a whole big bunch of whirly birds to see which way you naturally like to spin or which is easiest. When you actually do the 180's, go all the way down the in-run with your arms straight out like a T so you are ready to set your trick. When at the jump, close your eyes and in-vision yourself doing 180's while going over the jump. Be sure not to open your eyes because this could skew your concentration. With your eyes closed, spot your landing and quickly do a pizza with your tails so you can slow down enough to turn around because that can be really scary. Now you can ride away and tell all your friends how you are the bees knees when you do sick whirly birds in the park!

So you're saying in 3 years of skiing park you have never done a 180...

I been rippin park for about a year now with some

mad zero spins and some even steezier side jumps. After dialing those up for a couple years, think I'll be ready.

OP: ignore the haters

directions unclear, dick stuck in portable house fan

Just throw your body back and twist as hard as you can. Then tuck in your legs and you will start the 180. Be sure to tuck! Good luck.
