Tips on Backies

Hoping to go inverted this year. Any tips on doing a backflip for the first time. I can do a backie off a 3ft mat to a foam pit. Also where should I do my first flip.

make sure you're able to commit. find a nice poppy jump that you're comfortable on. wait till the the lip to pop. (if necessary throw arms up) lean back, pull knees up or grab them, look around with your head and spot the landing then stomp it. its all about commitment, and as long as you throw it and commit you'll be fine

3 friends did thier first ones last weekend. They all fell on their back their first time and almost died. Average landing was like third try. About a 15ft jump, maybe 20. It was really poppy because we hand built it into some soft snow. Just be careful

Same man I really want to get inverted but my parents say ill be grounded if I try one but fuck it, a man needs to progress lmao

Is this at Copper? I wanted to try my first off of something like this. Can land em consistently in the foam pit, just waiting for something poppy but not huge if I'm not doing it into pow

haha yea it was at copper, my buddy did one on those jumps so i though i would try my first one there. If coppers park is the same as last years, i recommend doing it off the first jump in the actual park. a lot easier than the tiny ones. also dot worry about the sno too much. ive caught tips many times and just slide down on my belly
