Tips for making ski promo video??

make it original and up beat....they would like to see things that are new and show your creative side.

No, it's flaily 360's on backcountry jumps... or overrotated cab 5's that you should have landed seven, but spread eagled out of to land at 5 because you're afraid of landing in pow backwards.

Oh, and acting really, really cool.

Make sure to talk about how you're just trying to progress the sport, take your tricks to the backcountry and are over terrain parks and competition.

show youself slaving away over email pleasing your sponsors and how pro skiing is a job, not just fun.

Then bam, you're good.

Theres really not much better ways to do things dude, if you shred and that can be seen in your vid you might get it. If they don't just throw it in the trash.

get a buddy who can do a legit true follow cam. even stock 5s look amazing when someone follows you off a jump and smoothly locks the camera onto your body.

show clips of kids in the park like saying "Boy do i wanna buy what hes wearing!"

to illustrate how much Terrain Park Clout you have.

first its too late for the season most companies want that shit in at like the beginning of Aug latest

second good music that flows with the skiing

third good skiing

Nice point!

It's probably even earlier than that though... you should have your shit in by April to be really safe.

Then decisions would be made over the summer, and you wouldn't hear anything until October or so.

Now is way too late... bugets are set, and people have already been signed.

Although, if you're just looking to ride under a local rep, it can happen anytime. For that stuff, you should just put your video online with a nice site and all your pics. Make up business cards that have a link to the site, and hand them out to reps.

That way they won't forget you.

variety in tricks, spin both ways, slow and smooth, or just smooth. Steezy 180 BC cliff drops and then pull a huge cab zero. haha, cab zero

if you have to ask you probably aren't very plugged in. and if you were good you would probably be more plagged in, so don't waste your time. not to be an asshole, but it takes serious talent. unless you just want to go for a local shop, but you probably wont need a promo for that

no... that's not important.... the whole reason for sending them a promo is to get on their gear, and try to rep it. plus, that means kids would be sending promos to like 4 companies.

Psssh..... Don't rush it and make a sketchy, weak promo. Do yourself a favor and wait until SpaNcEd!! the Movie, drops.... It'll teach you the art of 1) promo video making, 2) how to wear your cloths 3)How to heckle shops/reps 4) Proper mailing steps 5) and Overall how to get spanced.
