So i am about to buy a car an i want to tint the windows. From experience how much does it usually cost? ive tried to get some free quotes but havent really found much. by the way im gettin a black 06 forestor. any help would be great
 
I would expect to pay about $50-100. You don't want to go cheap, you want it to look good. Be careful of cops especially if you are ever riding dirty.
 
you can do it yourself, its not that hard, go to a car store, buy your tint and follow the directions on the box. its easy and a lot cheaper
 
now will applying my self give me that so ghetto purple tint with mad air bubbles look? or is it pretty simple
 
It will. Seriously, get it done by a body shop. DONT do it yourself and DONT go to wal-mart. It will look like shit and it won't last. Many shops also garuntee their work and if anything happens or you have to take it off cause of cops they will replace it really cheap.
 
Kza, spend 200 bucks to get it done professionally. Get like 15-20% all around, slc cops dont seem to give a shit about tint. Now idaho falls cops do.

In my experience, it should cost you somewhere between 100 and 150 for a good tint that covers the whole window (including the edges) and I'd suggest getting it done to 20%. or if the police are an issue 35% will usually get looked over and is still pretty dark.

again, DON'T go cheap, you'll regret it when your windows look like shit
 
i checks it out for my saab and it was 250 but i cant afford it. but be careful of cops, they can be douches about it
 
My Prius has 10 separate windows (not including the windshield). It was $200 for double limo.... Which was a mistake because I couldn't see outside my car at night. I could only see lights and hope there wasn't anything else there. On the other hand it was good cause on 110 degree days my car wasn't very hot and I didn't have to run my AC on blast all the time.
 
get it done at a shop and drop bills for it. theres a certain kind you want its like um3 or um or some shit idk ill look into it tomorow. its garentied for life and the shit is bomb. its aroun 200 to get it done. my focus which has seven windows was 190
 
ive always wanted to get tint and i considered going to walmart but i wont now

if your looking for dark tint and a well done job,,,,expect to throw down a solid $300
 
For my land rover 7 windows It was 350 or something like that because i needed to get the special tint that doesnt mess with the GPS

I asked for 20% all the way around but when I got cought they metered me at 14% but it was night out so idk

I only got messed with for my tint once in 2.5 years and I got pulled over for other stuff also in that time so cops shouldn't be to bad but I always put my front windows down or open my sun roof if i see a cop
