Tinted Windows

I was just curious if anyone on this site has tinted windows (particularlly those darker than the legal limit) and if a police officer has ever given you a ticket, and the rough price to get all the windows (excluding the windshield) tinted

they will give you a warning to remove it and if your caught again after the warnings up youll be fined, however my trucks windows are tinted 1 level past the legal limit. forgot how much it costed me, but its a bear to see out of at night, although it looks sweet in the day time

iv never had a problem.. but a massacusetts state trooper made my friend slash his up with a razor blade before he let him go

depends. usually most cops wont care enough unless ur at 5%. then it can be brought up. depending on what state u live in, the fines will vary. dont worry about tickets. if ur not gonna do it urself(im assuming) then itll run like 200+ish depending on what car u have, and what kinda tint u get. if u do it urself, or know someone who can, u cna get pretty good tint off ebay for like 40 bucks

Unless the cop is really addiment about that kinda thing, he's probably just using that as an excuse to pull you over to check if you have a warrent out.

mine r 2% all around but just the brow on the front windshield,it only cost me the price for the tint cause my buddy owns a car accessory shop so about $65 bucks cause i did it myself.our laws in montana r like 30 or 35% is the legal limit but its pretty laid back here so i never get pulled over for that reason, just make sure both of your front windows r rolled down i they pull u over so they can see inside.

yes that is exactly what i mean ya i know a little much but i did it for when i didnt have an alarm on my car just so people wouldnt have any reason to break into my car?

ive heard that one before and thats gotta suck cause if u get yours done at a shop professionally it varys anywhere from $200 bucks to $300 bucks just for the legal setup.

uhhh how do you "slash up" a proffesional tint.... i thought they actually tint the windows, not like a applied sheet, maybe im wrong?

no its still a film that they aply to the inside of the windows unless u send them off to get smoked and then theres no film. all it takes is a razor to take off the film and it comes off pretty easy if u just scrape up a good part of a corner.

the stuff you get on ebay is garbage...and most people cant do it properly themselves so you get lines and bubbles. get it done by someone who knows what they are doing if you want it to look good

thats why i do mine myself cause the shops around my area r just a bunch of guys that got hired cause they wanted to learn but just do a halfassed job and think its fine.
