Tinnitus

Anyone got one? Experiences?
I ripped my eardrum a few weeks ago, got a tiny pretty silent tinnitus out of it.Went to hospital for a week to threat it with inffusions and worked pretty well, was almost gone after that. But the idiot I am, it was my birthday the same day and i went out partying, putting myself under a lot of stress the following days, and bam, its back.Louder and worse than ever. I have a really hard time sleeping since its so loud, I m under constant stress and massive fear of this situation to last.Gonna see the doc on monday again, but it would be nice to hear some experiences of people who had one, still have one etc and how to deal with this shit.Cuz right now there isnt much i can think about...

not wanna scare you or anything, but a friend of mine had it really bad after a Metallica concert in 2007 i think, it got worst and worst, doctors couldn't help him, even tough they tried, in 2009 he killed himself because he could no longer stand the constant noise and headaches.....

That sucks man. I know a few people that have it, but its fairly mild. They all got it from playing to many shows without ear plugs. Unfortunately i dont really have any advice to give as i havnt had it, but hang in there.

tinnitus = ringing in ears constantly?

my friend has that so his ears are really sensitive

he's also a drummer so he has to have a set of earplugs and overear protection or he can't play

just go to a doctor like any other medical condition

i haz it... but not that bad tho. i dont notice it anymore . but its kinda annoying somtimes when your in a quiet room and your trying to listen for somthing and all you can hear is the ringing, kinda sucks but whatever.

I had it for a year until the tear finally healed. It was really small and low pitch rings. Give it some time and try not to think about too much.

i always get it in my right ear when im falling asleep

and randomly during the day sometimes

i've had it for a while now. i can only hear it when its really quiet. like when im going to sleep. otherwise it can't be heard. at first it bothered me where i had to put on some background music to get to sleep, now i can go to sleep with out the music. i think ill probably have it for life, although i've never gone to see a specialist yet. oh well.

this is called life, sometimes it's creepy.
and wear earplugs, go to a music store and try to find the ones that lower the sound levels without killing the music quality. Tinnitus isn't a joke, the mild shit is annoying enough, it can get really serious to the point where you want to kill yourself.
To anyone who's spending hundreds on concert tickets, $50 on some quality earplugs isn't that much.
