Dark Side of the Moon
Ten Years After
Hendrix
Really any Woodstock / Acid Rock era band. It's incredible to see what music was to the public then and how amazing it was. It was a culture, an art. The counterculture then was that. Now it's rap and pop. Fucking horrible.
Our kids' generation is going to be brought up listening to Bieber and Usher saying how they were the rockstars of our generation. Ugh. I hate thinking about it. Seriously, as soon as i bring my firstborn home I am putting speakers in his/her room and softly playing MGMT, Radiohead, and other supremely relaxed music that is the best of our time.
