Timelapsing sunsets

When you time lapse a sunset, do you leave the white balance and exposure constant or do you leave the camera on auto? I really hate leaving it on auto, but I'm trying to figure out what works best. Thanks.

well then leave the autofocus on manual

Yeah, set your focus manually but I'm guessing you might not want to leave your white balance set on Auto... maybe just evaluate it or put it on something basic like 'sunny'. I know if you lock your exposure when it starts to get dark you'll get pretty underexposed shots.

Thanks a lot. Yeah sorry I guess I just assumed that noone uses autofocus, should of made that a little more clear. Thanks again.
