Time travel. The final frontier of exploration. Scientists like Einstein have theorized about it, and scientists like Ronald Mallet have been experimenting with it.

But recently, scientists in Are Sweden are on the verge of making the unknown a reality. Alex Schlopy did the first ever 1980 spin, effectively closing the gap of rotation and our current year (2011). In the next year or so someone will spin an extra 180, completing the first ever 2160..... the Future Spin.

Are we truly prepared to blindly huck a triple 2160 and send one of our fellow scientists into a new realm? Where will he go? (I explicitly used 'he' because female scientists haven't been able to harness these rotational velocities yet). Where will he end up? And most importantly, what will the year 2160 hold for mankind?

I propose that the scientist attempting The Future Spin to be wired with microphones and carry a small pen and pencil for field notes. Also he must carry a collapsible shovel to construct a jump big enough to spin either a triple cork 1980, or double cork 2011 to rail in order to return home and debrief.

Thoughts? Our world is about to make history, we need to support the science.

i was so ready for "why is this in ski-gabber" until i started reading. have you seen CONTACT?! and we know that he wont return in 1980 because that was 30 years ago and there wasnt some skier who came from the future to tell us all about it. but how could he, that hasnt happend yet...? oh shit these paradoxes are hurting my brain
 
Well the world is going to explode in December of next year so traveling into the future will result in a vacuum void of oxygen and gravity and as a result he will die almost instantly. But he will be remembered as a true pioneer for as long as we're alive. Time to move to space colonies.
 
well, due to global warming predictions, there most likely wont be a legitimate place/ snow amount to build a "return jump" for the dub 2011 to rail. Although, this problem may be avoided by some sort of very large-scale snow maker if it is in existence. Discuss.
 
well due to CLIMATE CHANGE, there are no solid predictions that can be made about snow pack in the future. the only thing you can rely on is john cusack to jump a limo high enough that you can slide off the limo, complete the spin in free fall and (based on my calculations) land exactly at 2011 on the rail causing an instant transmission of particles to the present and hopefully, fox gardens.
