Time Travel: Back to the Past, or On to the Future?

If you were given a time machine that could either send you forward in time or backwards in time which would you choose? I think that it says a lot about your personality which one you would choose.

Personally, i would choose to go back in time. the benefits would be easy monetary gain, and i wouldnt have to deal with the unkown. And i would go back to the late 1950's.
 
probably past..

I would look at stocks for that day then go back a few days and invest a shit ton of money, so I could be crazy ass rich right now. Im talkin billionaire rich.
 
Past, would travel back to the stoneage and invent the wheel and the fire and then become the leader of the cavemen and get all the cavewomen! (gasp, finishedwiththesentence)
 
i think forward just out of sheer curiosity. we know about the past (at least to some extent), but what technology is going to exist in the future would be really interesting to know. that is provided that i dont travel forward and instantly die when i reach my destination because of some unlivable atmospheric conditions..
 
if i can be sure i wonder spawn in some apocalyptic wasteland i would go future.

..ideally to the day teleporters become available to everyone
 
I would go to the future, we have no idea how doing even tiny things in the past could mess up the present. I would go to the future because I'm curious and I could see what happend to me when I'm like 60, and what will happen in world war 3.

Traveling tips:

For the future only requires up to a double cork 14, or future fed. while traveling into the past requires hot dogging down the mogul hill in skin tights and 194 rossis. If you throw a 360 iron cross or cosack You're into the past immediatly.

 
i would have to go back, not even for my own gain. lots of questions spanning all kinds of topics i would be interested in answering for myself, and maybe even a little bit of gain, haha.
 
i thought the amount of degrees you spin equals the year you travel to? therefore dub 14 would be in the past, because 1440s are sooooo last year. year 2160 is lookin gewd so imma get all torin yater wallace on da time machine and see what the world is like in 148 years

Or, do the inverse and bring current technology to the past and teach them about it, then we'll possibly have further developed technology.
 
Future, so I could A. See what skiing is like B. Get a buch of futuristic devices C. Meet some of today's skiers which have gone into the future via future spins and D. Fuck some future bitches and smoke some future weed
 
I would go to the past, back when I was about 3-4 years old. Those years were the best. No school, sleeping, eating, playing games.

If it were me I would keep it like that forever.

That or live up to 6th grade, that was the last year things were good.

They have been going downhill since then.

I would go back to 2005, when skiing was still core, and bring gopros and HD cameras with me.

Re-read this only to realize I haven't contributed anything useful.

I'd go back to solve mysteries, for lack of a better word (most things to do with religion, weather or not aliens have come, how the world was made, etc) and to see fucking sabre tooth tigers and giant sloths.
