Time machine + 1tb hd from bestbuy for $124 =

so yea, picked up a 1tb hard drive from bestbuy for 124$, hooked it up, started backing up my shit with time machine and it told me this...

and i instantly said, holy shit.ps. ive had my mbp for a little over a year.

I have 1.5tb's in my computer in 4 different drives. I have 44,200 pictures alone.

its always good to have a separated device for backup. the computer could crash and fry the drives with it. its nice to have a remote backup and (if you have a mac) time machine with the time capsule works great because its networkable and can be anywhere in your house separate from the computer. just something to think about. those 44000 pictures are worth more than the $299 the capsule costs.. id get it..

there is nothing wrong. the initial backup takes a while then from there on in it is faster and only does parts of it so when it trys to recover it puts together pieces. nothing wrong
