Time for new boots?

The top buckle on my right boot snapped the other day, and now the two top buckles on my left have snapped. Kinda bummed but I've had these boots for a solid 3 years and I guess gear can't last forever. The velco strap does an alright job of keeping the boot tight, but I can feel that the heel retention has gotten worst and tbh the boots don't have a perfect fit for me (I think the shape of my foot has changed since me getting them + the liner getting packed in has caused this, they seemed to fit perfectly when I first got them). They're comfy, but I think they may be a bit too big. I know literally everyone on here says that boots are the most important piece of equipment, but do you think it's completely necessary to get new boots, or could I wait until next season?

I had a pair of Beasts that i rode until the toes were so round that they wouldn't stay in my bindings.. the hinge on both boots were gone, and they were packed out beyond belief... they lasted me 5 years and fit like a slipper... I loved those things......

Then i got new boots and realized that it should have been done long ago.... its tough to see them go... especially on the wallet, but your feet and your skiing performance will be happy you got new boots

boots are the most important piece of ski gear. It sounds like its time to retire the pair. It always sucks getting new boots if the old ones worked well. I just got new boots this year after 6 years on my old boots that were perfectly fitted to my foot. O well the new ones are great too.

You cannot take a risk for your gear when you have been doing skiing so closely .I think you should give a shot to new boots now.Having old boots in season may add up problems for you.

So, just go for the fresh pair of boots and enjoy your skiing season merrily.

New boots for sure. Those old boots sound so beat they must be skiing like shit even if you find them sort of comfy still. You will be amazed how much better a new pair skis. Go to a good fitter get some custom footbeds made then have the fitter recommend a few boots.
