Time for new boots

And I want this pair to be my last, for awhile. This isn't a thread about which boots to get, I just simply want to know how long it takes you to go through a pair of boots.

And by go through, I mean GO THROUGH, not "these totally aren't cool anymore". I'm still riding tecnica kid's boots from 5 years ago, and I'm 20.

dude, how do your feet fit in those still. Boots should usually last a long time as long as you take care of them. sounds like your doing a good job if you were able to ski a pair of kids boots for 5 years.

Well get a boot with a good shell fit, throw out the liner and get some Intuitions for it. Also unless the boot is very stiff then you should put on a pair of the 3 layered booster straps. With that done, boots should last a long time(20+ years). In most cases, people throw out there boots because the liners are packed out and they can't get the boot tight enough anymore, when in reality all they need to do is get a good pair of liners.
