Timberline summer conditions?

I'm going to hood from June 14th - 28th. Should the park still be worth $ I'm saving to get over there during that period?

By that time it will have melted out to be a large backyard setup plopped on a volcano.

It should be.

I am amazed at how much it has melted every week. It is already a shorter hike to hike the park than to walk out to the base of the Mile.

With that being said, Timberline and the park crew are doing a fantastic job keeping things going. I have heard rumors that the public park may go into the High Cascade lap lane this season but those are just rumors.

June 14th should be good, who knows what June 28th will look like though.

Are there and will be any jumps up?

going out july 5...should at least be fun hiking some rails with snow! any idea if they will end up moving the park up by that time?

Does each camp has its own lift or does palmer have a main lift. Im going to mhssc and im curios if only windells has a lift.

Windells has a pair of rope tows. MHSSC is all hike, but you can just lap Palmer lift if you don't want to hike.

Hi,

From what my data has told me, the current conditions at timberline bear much resemblance of that of summer skiing...

Hope that helps

Woah you must be a local or something

Went up today, Public is now where HCSC lap park usually is. Lots of rails but no jumps. Pretty fun setup for hiking though, and the hike from the bottom of the park over to palmer isn't that bad yet.

The pipe is up there. There are 5 parks... Lap park (upper rope tow, Windells and HCSC). Windells (below lap park, just windells, no HCSC). HCSC (Next to Windells and lap park, Windells snowboarders and HCSC). Public park (way over to the left of palmer, just rails but still pretty sick). MHSSC (No idea where it is but I think I heard there are jumps).

Is it public pipe or the snowboard camp and how big are the walls just wondering bc windells gets to use the pipe and lap park last year.

Does anyone know if they are going to make jumps in public?

They just put in a very interesting pair of hip jumps. They aren't very big, but are very fun!

The hike back to the bottom of Palmer is very mellow, and makes for fairly quick laps if you aren't into the hike life.

dope, thanks man

Web says it is 81 degrees up there right now. Yikes, the snow must be getting cooked. It's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow.

Was pretty brutal today, the ride into the park is starting to get a little more sketchy but it's not bad yet, and the walk to palmer is the same as it was a week ago which is chill.

I heard that you have to download now bc there isn't enough snow to ski down at windells i am not sure till what time but we skied after the chair closed on the windells rope tow and you just skied down after the chair closed and in the later sessions you had to hike like 5 mins down i heard so now at windells can you only ski till 4 when the chair closed so there won't be the extra hr or 2 of skiing at windells???

MHSSC is under High cascade to the left. Also public has some hip jumps but they are flip able. Public's rails are great! There is actually a good amount of snow. Idk how it will go though, its gonna be in the hundreds down at government camp for the next two weeks, so it will be hot up at Palmer. This is from last week.

Youve had to download for the past few weeks now, and most windells kids are gone by like 3 because palmer closes at 2.

as of last week You have to walk from the top of the mile to palmer and you have to walk down from windells/hcsc park.

Once they can no longer sled people down close enough to the Mile, they'll call it.

My best guess is three more weeks.

I was up two days ago. To get to the public park you have to ski, then hike 30 feet, then ski some more, then hike another 10 feet, then there is a quarter pipe type thing, a 15/20 foot jump that's built quite well, then a jib section, then a number of rails below that a lot of kids were hiking and lapping.

Very impressed with what they've been able to do with the snow, but it's melting fast. I'd give it 10 days till its gone
