Do you remember those little plastic monkeys that would ocme in those little barrells and you could link them together?.....ya those ones.

Well bryan gallant used to link them all together and shove them straight up his ass. In the meantime soxripper (bryan's father) would videotape the entire thing which was eventually sent to america's funniest home videos in turn winning bryan gallant $1000. Kicking off his skiing career.

Anyone who has problems with gallant (everyone) should send their complaints or immediately sew whichever company manufactured this retarded toy

having tight boots is like having tight pussy. it only hurts them. wait wait wait what in the hell.

Skeletor? You don't know who Skeletor is? Sheeeeiiittttt.....

a tight boot will give you better control, your foot wont slide around in it, and overall you'll be able to turn quicker.

The tighter the better. Just don't over do it.

yeah, just make sure that it is still comfortable. And a good pair of insert will also help a lot.

It sucks my feet are kind of in between sizes so I can either go with a 28.0 and have super sore feet all the time or get 28.5's (which I did) that are a bit too big and I kind of slide around in a bit when I'm skiing powder and shit.

yeah, that pisses me off, my boots have really packed out (cheap foam liners) so by the end of the day by feet swim in those bitches.

what inserts exactly are you guys referring to? I already have moulded cork superfeet inserts in there but is there something else I could put underneath them or something?

dude I just put the shitty thin little inserts that come with the 1080's underneath my superfeet and now my boots feel a lot more snug. I'm stoked to try them out this weekend, hopefully whistler will get some snow.

there is no differance between a 28.5 boot and a 28 boot. the only differance between whole and half sizes is that the footbed on the half sizes is a little thinner. i can garentee that the sole length, and liner is exactly the same for whole and half sizes, so therefor always go for the whole size. as far as custom footbeds go, they help a ton, specially for jumping. a custom footbed will even out the pressure on your foot cause more surface area to land on, which elemiates hot spots. i use instaprints, which i think do the job the best.

most boots the only difference in the whole number verses the .5 is that the liner is a bit thicker. the shell sizes are the same. the thicker liner will pack out a bit more.

Anyone else hunting a Sasquatch this winter? We have spotted one in central VT.

dude with my custom footbeds + the original 1080 footbeds (because my boots are a bit too big) + the rubber bootboard action, it feels like I'm floating on air, it's so dope! Next time I land flat on ice I think I'm going to be very thankful.

bwbski, thats not true, the only differance ( with the exception of any race boot) is that the foot bed is thicker in the whole sizes and thinner in the halfs. the liner is exactly the same. just ask any bootfitter who knows anything.

The first time I went skiing my feet went numb because my boots were too tight. Mine are a little loose but I can always tighten them if I want to.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass

also, if your boot is just a little too big you can throw in a superfeet insole, which will tighten up the fit. personally i like my boots tight, i wear a 12 shoe and a 28.5 boot

Acid is like a women, a good one will eat right through your pants.

Actually, if you don't tighten your boots up your shins are more prone to being bruised, because there is more space for them pick up speed to collide with your boot. I keep my boots snug, and it works well. If I'm hiking, I undo the two bottom buckles, and usually in the lift line as well, but when I'm skiing, the last thing I want is my feet sliding around like all hell in my boots, I just can't stand it, not to mention can't ski well with them like that.

Someone was mentioning that they were in between sizes. I too am in between a 27.5 and a 28 (I wear an 11 shoe). Do yourself a favor and go with the SMALLLER of the two, like anything boots will stretch. Get yourself a good insole or 'footbed', custom if you can afford it. Good fitting boots are more important than ANY other piece of equipment you will ever buy. If your boots don't fit right you may as well not even bother with decent skis.

i just got back into new skiing and at first i hated my boost but u have to have em or else of u fall your could break your ankle.

Get some Nordicas, they have really thick liners, way thicker than the Salomon 1080's. And you can buy those little inserts, they work really well. After about 3 straight days of sessioning the park, I had vicious shinbang, and my shins were fine after I popped in the inserts.

tight boots give you a more responsive feel and anyway they are going to pack out so you always need them to be a lil small
