Ticks! FUCK YOU TICKS!

And you doubt it why?

Im not claiming anything. I'm just saying it sucks to have half your face paralyzed when you wake up one day and that it was really shitty that it went untreated in me for such a long ass time.

If you spend time in the woods around here its next to impossible to not get it.

Just because its a disease doen't mean its the same as getting Polio.

God I fucking hate ticks! I have to pull them off my dog all the time. Check out this monster... if you can stomach it.

know how hte main danger from a tick is lyme disease. well that was named after lyme connecticut. i live 10 mins from lyme... i hate the woods :(

i pulled three ticks off of me yesterday

my dad had lyme disease 3 times and i had it once so far

yea i cut across a soccer field after a lacrosse game that had some tall grass. i felt something behind my knee, and i had to pull the fucker off. luckly it had just started to clamp itself on but i did not like it

lmao that epicly sucks lol and its not really dirty where i live... its just alot of ticks in the woods. i live in a clean area

I get them nearly every time i ride at this trail near me. I just burn those little shits off though, and then its usually all good. There really creepy though, just knowing they are feeding off of you.

yeah my brother just got a tick and got lyme disease...i think? they gave him shit loads of drugs for it.
Just outside of lillooet bc on a camping trip. He's okey now though.

there's a folf course near me that is crawling with ticks. i found one on my dog this spring. it was right under his colalr, so i didnt find it right away. when i actually did find it, thing was as big as a grape. it was fuckign NASTY. i hate ticks

True true... I'm used to them though. If I don't get multiple ticks in a week, it means I'm not outside enough. I just hop off the bike every hour or so and do a search, then check EVERYWHERE when I get home. Lyme's disease isn't as common here as say the east coast, but my grandparents just visited from WA and my grandpa got it. He is not doing so well right now

This past weekend i was at saratoga camping and me and my buddy were playing beer pong with these two random people who were camping next to us and one of them (who was a girl) had gotten bit by 3 ticks already and during our game she got bit by another and my friend who is really into outdoors and shit and was also reallly drunk was like i can take that tick out for you which was a bad idea. i made sure to reassure her that he was a pro and has done that before (he is not a pro and i have never seen him do this before) anyway so the other person we were playing beer pong with was her boyfriend and he was like dont be putting the moves on my girl man (she was not very attractive) my buddy ended up leaving the head in so that girl prolly got fucked hard by now. sorry for the long story.

god, this is freaking me out. i'm so glad i've never even seen a tick before despite the fact i live in washington, which apparently has a lot right now?

lyme disease sounds awful.

yeah well at least you can get it cured if its in the early stages. my father got it wen i was like 1 ( 20 years ago ) and they had no clue wat it was cuz lymes wasnt well known. he's been in a wheelchair for the past 12 years. so yeah get that shit checked out.

i live in pennsylvania (est coast)and we dont get em super bad but we do have the deer tick wich DOES carry lime disease.my bros x girl friend got it.effected her kinda like mono she was at our house for like a week on time and all she did was sleep seemed kinda shitty to me but there isnt a cure just treatment so shes got it for life

one time i was in montana and then i found one in my scalp like 2 weeks after we left. it was pretty fucked up because i was showering every day.

hahaha and from Darryl too, I was expecting rediculiousness as well

but I've not had any problems with ticks here in the Northeast so far, but I've not been in the wilderness nearly as much as you have so I can't really judge

OH GOD. I just remembered the time I had to pull a tick off my shaft. I'd buried that memory SO FAR away....... jesus christ if that was not the most surreal, painful mindfuck ever. I can not even describe how much that hurt the INSTANT that little motherfucker got it's nibblers into me.......... I was so glad to watch the fucker burn under a lighter flame after I'd gotten 'em off.

Sparknotes: Tick Dick.

i have lyme disease right now, i went to an orthopedist a few weeks ago with a swollen as fuck knee and turns out i tested positive for 9 out of 10 markers on the test

a couple years ago one of my friends had a tick on his arm and he got lyme disease. his arm was fucked up for a good couple of months

yeah im in washington right now working for my grandpa at his ranch. and right now im putting up some fence around a pond and the ticks are horrible my uncle who is working with us found seven of them on him when he got home. it fucking sucks cause i have to work two more day around there and i hate tick there just straight up filthy... but yea im pretty sure they are much worse this year that what my grandpa has been sayin. but i hope i dont get any more on me cause im done with them i found two on my neck and in my hair before i went to bed like two night ago and it scared the shit out of me and those suckers are really hard to kill.

definitely worse this year than others. went camping for like a day, and found 2 on me, one dug in, one just walkin around. if you guys didn't know , you can send the body in for testing at you're local Disease Control Center. they will tell you if the head is missing, etc. for free and then you need to get it taken out. It costs 50$ to get the body tested for Lyme's , but if you are worried it's a small price to pay. they just ask that you send them the body in a crush proof container within two weeks of it dieing, and you have to put a wet cotton ball in the container so the tick doesn't dry out. Also, if you have been bitten, keep an eye out for a bullseye shaped rash, and abnormal muscle pain, because those are two very common signs of early stage Lyme's. hope this helps someone.
