Ticket scanners???

I know there were some threads on here a week or so ago about going without passes and all, this is just a question for my curiosity.. I went to Granite Peak today and they told me that they were going to start scanning tickets at the bottom of all their lifts.

I've skied out west, and they do it all the time, but I've never heard of it going on here in the MW.

I was just curious if other resorts around here do this and I just have never been there or is this just a GP thing???

Happy holidays guys,

gretchen

wild doesn't scan tickets, they just randomly check people in the lift lines pretty much. for some reason i think i remember someone telling me last year that spirit was gonna start doin that but i went there and they didnt so idk

amen for sunburst/alpine/tyrol so lax there you dont gotta worry about people bein up in your buisness.

that would suck. ticket scanners. psht.

spirit didnt have scanners last year like they have out west with the

barcode deal, but they normally have someone in the lift line checkin

passes

wild said that they were going to get them this year,.....but they didnt. seems like a waste of money for the resort and time for the skiers.

I regularly go to Cascade and they don't have scanners. They just have a person that randomly checks people for tickets.

I think if it was Wild there would have been a thread made called, "Here we go again... again." But I may be mistaken haha.

Well, I mean they have always had people randomlly check and that, sometimes on busy days and stuff... I just thought that this move seemed a little extreme, because now the lines are going to take forever and all. Granite doesnt even really have a problem with kids sneaking in, most of the kids who go there come from well off families and are decked out in all the latest Burton threads..

Where my school goes, at Indianhead, half the lifties dont even come out of the little shacks, they really dont care what you do lol
