Thunderstorms

The first one of the summer just hit in my corner of WA. I just wanted to say that they are badass. I'm sitting on my covered porch right now watching thunder and shit.

Thunderstorms are one of my favourite parts of summer!

I love sitting outside and watching them; the way the air feels during them is pretty badass as well.

The only shitty thing about them is the forest fires they tend to cause. Luckily my area hasn't really had too many fires since 2003.

i alwaYS SLEEP when the thunderstorms are here so i miss them but i like to watch them when im awake but most of the time im asleep and it sucks because i kliuke to watch them

had one yesterday while rowing on a river in the pouring rain with metal paddles, first strike i hear is a flash immediately followed by a huge bang, so it was definately very ! i've never been out of the water that quickly :)

luckily the storm quickly moved away so we could proceed our trip :)

Ive had lightning strike so close to my house my electronics gave me a shock. I was lucky they didnt fry... but they are great.

This time of the year we get them almost every day......blue skies and sunny all day, then look to the west around 4-5pm and the dark clouds roll in. Gets super windy, lightning, thunder, hail, rain, intense for 5-20 minutes, then it's gone. Gotta love that smell! Unless you're out on a bike ride or something, then it sucks.

we get a lot where im from.

the most dark experience in my life was when i went for a run, and it got really really dark in the middle of the afternoon. the blackest clouds i had ever seen had a whole bunch of lightning coming out of em and i was in the middle of a feild. the colours just blew my mind, it made the field look grey.

reminded me of slipknot's video for Left Behind, go watch it and you'll know why i was scared

My house has been hit twice and fried most of our TV's, our computer, xbox and basically everything that was plugged into the wall.

We have had plenty over here in NJ. Two days ago i had tornado warnings and the craziest part was the fire sirens were going off! After i thought it was all done with the rain and lightning, i looked out my front window to see some nice swirling clouds (horizontal in the sky). It honestly scared the shit out of me. But w/e no tornadoes im good! I do love looking out into thunderstorms to admire the power and patterns of the electricity.
