Thugs VS Bacons

sounds like thugs are good at charging steeps and pow

im probally going to end up buying those

what would be a good binding

my friend has the marker one(the camo) mounted on his beths, i dont trust them

he over show a jump and landed switch in the pow, the spring broke on them

and everyone else i know with them the heel peice wiggles

Never buy anything that says 'Marker' on it (with the possible exception of the new Duke and Jester models)...go for a Look or Rossignol binding first (P10, P12, P14, FKS 120) first, avoid the PX heel if you can, they are mostly shit, and you can get a higher DIN racestock binding if you are heavier and/or tend to break bindings.

your right, i dont know what any of these skis feel like.

im going for the thugs or bacons because i've heard of what other people have had to say about them

That was for the guy who suggested the Katana, Pontoon and Hellbent, which all have a very specific purpose and are very different from the skis that are being discussed here.

It is 111 underfoot as mentioned above. It I believe will probably be very similar to the Sanouk in flex. Coolest feature is it has a powder channel on the tail like is offered on some of Volkls snowboards. Basically it supposedly sinks in like a swallow tail but will probably still allow you to ride switch if you wanted. I haven't heard or seen much about these skis but I imagine they will be fucking sick and will come in a 183 190 and 196.

i know ppl who have all those skis the katanas are like this years sanouk but a lil softer in the tip i think is what he said so ya im not just typeing

Actually, you pretty much are...you haven't ridden the skis, and you're recommending them without giving any insight, just a possible flex comparison (which may or may not be correct) to another ski that isn't even being talked about here, by someone that you claim you know and has ridden them.

the moment comis are 160-136-145 so there huge

I recently got a pair of Atomic Thugs. The first time i brought them out was yesterday. It was pouring down rain at Steven's pass Washington. The snow was very firm, and there were 3 pretty big jumps. The park crew said that the waterfall (the first jump) was 60 ft. and the two after were 55 and 66 feet. They were all very kicky. I took a few runs through the park in the morning and the skis held an edge very well. They were very easy to get from one edge to the other also. I hit some of the jumps and spun off of the big ones. The skis were very easy to control in the air for fat skis, and the felt very very good landing switch. They also skied switch on groomers pretty well. Today i took them up to Alpental, were it snowed around 10 inches at the top. Me and a few other guys went out into the B.C. The skis were sick. Floated super, super good for how far forward they were mounted. they love to go fast, and you can also sort of slash turn on them which is really fun. The skis plowed through everything and were aming switch in powder. you must always stay forward and ontop of these skis or else they can get away from you. Some one who is heavier than me might want something stiffer for big lines. These skis are sick. i cant wait to hit up some B.C. booters on them too.

Nordica Blowers charge like nothing I've ever skied. They're perfect for the terrain at kicking horse, I've skied them there, they where way better than when I skied kicking horse on my scratch BCs
