Thugs VS Bacons

i live in golden, we've had so many days with more than 20cm fresh

my prophet 90s are good for everything

these skis would be good for the big days

average days are for my 90s
 
im looking for this years

im buying them in the summer when i get money

if i find hellbents or something next years on sale

i'll buy them
 
you only really need a super fat ski for this much snow

People either love or hate the bacon design. Its not meant for charging but is definitely a fun ski for deep days. Just like im sure you've read before in a million reviews, the bacons are designed to ski like a snowboard and they feel different then others skis. A fun ski for fooling around. I don;t know how you ski. My days at golden are usually spent charging so I like a stiffer longer ski for the stability and control at fast speeds. So if thats what you want seriously check out the JP's or the ANT's. they are a way different ride then you prophet 90's.

As for the guy who was doubting goldens snowfall. 10m to date this season. The resort has been rocked by storm after storm. There isnt alot of places you'll ever go with the steep terrain and dry pow that are like golden. Henca tgr's reason to film with seth and jeremy jones there earlier in the winter.

I had Bacosn and they delamenated with in 2 hours i got my money back and i got thugs. sickest ski ever i mounted them core center and there amazing. way better than bacons bacons were heavier and the thugs ski better switch. the thugs are the sickest ski ever
 
i also skied the thugs on groomers and i use them in the park and there sick. really easy to control in the air compared to bacons. thugs hold an edge really well
 
so the thugs hold well everywhere

does anyone have a good review on the bacons in stuff other than powder

ive skied line for 4 years, nnothing is wrong with them

the odd ski comes up and thats it
 
i havent had any of my lines delaminate or anyone elses that i know

and i hate park so im not worrying about that

ive narrowed my search down to thugs, hellbents,bacons or live lifes(if i can find a place with them)
 
if bacons arent good for charging there probally out of the picture

does anyone know how the hellbents or live lifes are for charging in the pow and steeps?
 
oh yea...they guy whos selling them skied em before and said they are good on pure powder days which is what you said you were looking for. annnnnnd Armada is the shit. so get em.
 
damn i must have gotten all of the odd ones in the past. id suggest trying something new, theres a lot of great things other brands have to offer.
 
Wow. I just went to the effort to figure out what your name is. ul-las-ska_rida. WOAH> that sounds liek alaska. That's pretty darn cool.

But oh yes, about skis. Nordica Blower's might be a tad long in 185. But Surafce makes me happy so they get my vote. You'd have to wait till next year to orer them though. That might not be what you're looking for. Dommage.
 
woah woah woah, lets not say the word Stiff and Thug in the same sentence. by no means are the Thugs stiff. maybe in comparison to the Bacons, maaaybe, then again, isnt everything?
 
Thugs can be ridden out of pow. This kid rides for atomic and rides norhtstar park on thugs. Also I saw do a nose butter which his skis got over 45 degrees.

i have the live lifes and love them mine are mounted dead center and they are super fun all over really surfey type feeling in the pow like the bacons but i stiffer flex so you can charge on them plus they have i believe a 16m radius sidecut so they are still really fun on the groomers!

basically the surfaces are a more well rounded bacon that kill everything as the bacon is more pow only ski that cant really charge or ski anything else that well
