it would be annoying as shit to type on though and uncomfortable to stare at, i dunno, i don't think people are ready for something like that yet, the camera on the screen was unbelievable though
 
somebody (i think it was sun systems or something) came out with the exact same thing in the early 90s, but it didn't catch on because it was fucking gay. as is this. microsoft is just trying to be gay like apple so that retards will like them. only problem is that apple already took all the retards and made them oblivious to other products.
 
not a fan of retarded products. the only thing apple has come out with lately that i've actually liked is the iPod Touch, but they still forgot sound quality when they built that product. microsoft has its fair share of retarded stuff too (case in point, Vista, XBox). i hate them both equally. i also hate many other shit companies.
 
whats wrong with xbox? sure people have playstation / xbox preferences but I hardly think xbox falls into the 'retarded product category'
 
except that this technology has been out for at least 15 years, it just hasn't been implemented in a bigass table before.
 
1 in 3 of them break within the first 3 months of purchase, and they overheat easily (as do playstations). microsoft is actually losing money by selling the xbox, seeing as how they're selling them for less than it costs to build them, and giving away new ones to the people who had their other ones break.

so, in my books, really bad business move + faulty products = retarded
 
Why all the hate? Does nobody understand the uses of this computer......its not just the touch screen. Look at the wireless connection between the camer and the table, and the credit card. Its so flawless, and simple ( something that microsoft has been trying to do for a long time). This can make computing easy for EVERYONE. The applications for this are endless.....and i MEAN endless. Imagine an interactive dashboard in your car, or in school so you don't have to chuck your leabtop everywhere. You could have internet access everywhere, put it on airplanes, busses.

Would i ever use this technology.....fuck yeah. Holy shit i could see my self use this every day.

The reason everybody hates this is because its different. Its taking away your mouse, and keyboard. But think about it, why use a mouse when you have hands, why use a keyboad when you have a voice to talk.

Its the same principal as the Wii. Its taking away that clunky interface, and putting something that just makes more sence. Everybody is going to hate it at first ( look at the Wii in developpment), then we will take to it like fish to water ( look at Wii sales ). It is just designed to be more human friendly.

 
my first xbox broke, so you're right at a business standpoint, but the second one (I believe the newer distributed versions are more reliable) has worked perfect for 8 months now and I use it alot. Just got a HD tv and I can download hd movies on xbox, stream music and videos from my computer through it, and play maadd COD which is the best game ever, It is a sick product.
 
no, but somebody else thought of it before microsoft did and realized how gay it was and discontinued it. it's not an original idea, it's just a poor one.

maybe right now it's not perfect but this shit is the future and are generation is going to experience a big technology jump
