Throwing down first day

So last weekend I skied, but my skis hadn't arrived in the mail yet so I was using these shitty ass rental racing skis which had edges sharp enough to cut diamond, so needless to say each rail was the ride of my life... so I quit and went home instead of skiing the rest of the weekend.

Although now my skis have arrived and I super stoked to start throwing down again, even better they are gonna make our larger park and hopefully have it open this weekend. Idk if I should pull out some inverts though the first weekend before hitting the bag first. I mean I am super confident in doing them and needless to say, if the rest of my group starts throwing down some flippy trix, I'll start doing them too. But what would you guys say, and would you?

I wasn't planning on throwing any flips the first couple days, but peer pressure works like a charm. Kinda glad I did cause I learned some new tricks. But still take it easy. I sprained my LCL on Sunday.

There's more to the mountain then just the park.

This. Unless you are a Midwesterner. There's maybe 5 areas in the Midwest with decent terrain outside of park and groomers.

Maybe give those edges a shot man...race skis are so dam fast its ridiculous. You will grow out of the park over time trust me...theres a reason 30 year olds aren't slaying park in large numbers.

Well aware of that, expect my home mountain is sugarloaf, and there isn't much bc skiing in december in the east

So you can't even have fun on the groomers?

Nah man, racing is boring as fuck to watch and my guess is I won't like it ever...

Last year, opening day, tried to nollie front over a roller and broke my hand. Next 6 weeks with metal pins in my hand, skiing carefully with no poles. Not the best start.
