Ok, so over the summer since i have nothing better to do, i do stuff off my diving board all the time. Ive been trying to do cork's off of it, but im not sure how do do them. I thought i got them down really good the other day, but i was told they were bio 5's. Anyone know how to do them and wanna help me out? here is a video of some misty's, and i guess bio 5's

i always struggle throwing corks off d-boards aswell

i have no trouble with mistys, flats and rodeos, but corks i struggle. i know how to do em on skis, just struggle to adapt them to the d-board

honestly, i think diving boards are the hardest places to throw corks because when the diving board flexes as you're about to jump, your takeoff becomes angled (instead of flat). IMO, corks are a lot easier off the deck of the pool than off a diving board. Most of my diving board corks end up as flatspins because of the angled takeoff.

i know some of them were just straight up misty flips, others i purposely tried doing cork 5's. If its nice out tomorrow, ill try the other method of going into a gainer, and corking it

starting backwards helps a bunch

start from back and throw it off either your shoulder, or inward with speed so you dont hurt yourself

on the contrary. you can definitely do them. they're nearly impossible on a back yard board... you need a spring board or even a 3 meter spring board. just look back like you're doing a gainer but spin. i don't know, just jump and spin around. you'll figure it out. it's only water, go play around and figure it out.

jumping off the diving board backwards is fun as hell, if you haven't tried it yet DO IT. It can be sketch if you run and then turn but you can throw crazy tricks if you just turn around on the end and then get a few pre bounces in. switch double backs are way easier than a double back the normal way..........I should make a vid

i think i know what you're talking about, and i concur. run up double bouce turn fakie double back. easy as pie.

dude i dunno i see some cork 5ers in that video..but then again i don't really use the terrm "bio" and cork seperately, cork 5 is cork 5 to me. they definitely aren't misties or flats or anything else, so yeah dude, looks to me like you've got it.

just huck, the pure spin will throw  you off axis, iv been doin cork 9's all summer, dont look up like a rodeo and dont huck down like a misty, just spin.

yeah, i can do like switch misty's and shit like that off my board, i tihnk im gunna film alil more shit today, im gunna try the cork with a gainer

ditto, i think theres one misty near the end, but the first few shots are deffinitly cork 5's, without a doubt. go to your local pool and throw off the highdives, its so much more fun

Yea, I can do them off the high dives at this pool in my city. U gotta stand with ur back facing the water and like, drop off of the diving board. Or jump, but throw ur shoulder really sideways and a little bit back and float it.

If you can't float it cause its a low diving board, just throw it i guess?

I have a backyard springboard with a 15 foot deep end. Corks are definately doable. Gainers are the sickest tho.
