Throwing Arms To Spin

Why is this considered bad? I need to do it sometimes depending on the jump or drop. Sometimes it also looks stylish (or so it does to me) Your upper body is very important in gaining momentum for spinning.

try going a bit bigger then just using your head to look and follow it around then it is way easier to grab and t is smoother

woa! o my god, like no way man!...wow good for u man im sure it was the ugliest piece of shit ever thrown too man, yea good job..(N)

so no shit ud need to spin ur arms! ud need to get the momemtum for ur supersonic spinning speed. Yo man who pasted this...its not that it looks bad when u do wind up, its that alot of time when u need to u spin crazy fast and it looks like ass, but if u just do it to keep ur ballence or sumthing then it wouldnt look bad, its like this dude whos throwing 900s off a 15 table...who wants to see sumone huck a spin ass fast as they can and hope to land. so if ur winding up and people say it loks really bad its prolly only bc ur spinnin really fast and with no style, really lay out ur spins and make em look cool,

ya dude its totally about the practice. if ur just starting to get spins then throw ur upper body with it. it takes time to get it stylish. personally last year when i started jumps and shit i threw my body for 3s then i just slowly progressed to not throwing arms... you just do what your comfortable with for learning then everything smooths out. dont expect pro style when u rookie.

I was just trying to see how far I would spin off this little jump, When you spin like I was its imposible to add a grab in, so it probably didnt look that great, its still pretty cool landing a 900 in front of everyone in the park off this little table

Awww man, I shot Marvin in the Face...

I just started trying to spin this year. The first three or so were easy, but I keep crashing now. I think it's because maybe I throw my arms and forget about my head. I know when I started, I was more concerned about popping off the lip to get enough height to complete the spin. I probably just turned my head and waited for the landing to come around.

yo skiing revolution, thanx for ebeing cool bout that, haha i dont know why i 'picked' on u so bad, ur right it is cool that u did a nine of such a small jump even if it wasnt stylish, and yo if ur having troubles with ur threes...im guessing that u land backseat and just barley fall...if this is right wut i did was really didnt pop off the jump much at all, i carved into it more and did it more like a snowboarder does, it really helpped, then once u get super confortable with that, ur body will be used to it and ull balence urself mroe naturally when poping, it just comes with time

Use your arms a little, it'll help level you out too.

But it's all in the direction of your head and bringing your shoulders closer in

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

ya i think experience is the way to get away from it, if you start spinning alot eventually you wont need to do it anymore

A little spin is possible to do without arms, but to wind up with your arms just looks bad i think. If you stand off snow and do a three, notice how you really dont need your arms at all. Its all torso for small spins.

Yeah i dont use my arms to set my spin unless im going bigger than 720 or its a tiny ass jump and im spinning 720's off of it or something cause i have nothing better to do
