Throwin a backflip

I want to learn how to throw a backflip like running up walls or w.e any tips... cuz i think i culd pull the rotation around i just dont wanna break my neck... so any ideas?

^exactly what he said, but if you dont get it get right back up and do it agian or you'll be too scared to try it agian.....

try it on something that is a little slopeed first try just a little tho, then do 2 steps, your awkward foot then your good one, then just push offf and look for your landing/ use your first foot to push up as far as you can.
 
here is what you do. get kinda drunk (enough to fuck up your judgement). then go and finf the biggest booter you can and get as much speed as you can and lean backwards its not that difficult
 
try to look up to the sky and try to spot the horizion behind you, it will whip you around, and be sure to fully commit
 
i can only backflip by running up walls/ trees, or off like sumthing 5 feet tall, i almost died trying it on the flat ground, besides it looks gay on the ground.
 
you mean like a gainer or a stand still? if your standing still it should be easy. just get on a railing or something
 
all u need to do for a wall flip is plant your lead foot about 3/4 of ur full jump height up the wall, and then jump up off the wall (that is key), and then use your other leg and kick around, and make sure u commit, first time i tried one on pavement, i pussied out and landed right on my head
 
if you are comforteralble doing backflips off logs benches ect. it shouldn't be that hard

for sure! just go balls out and do it, i threw 1 off a tree this summer and it worked out well.. first 2 trys i landed on hands and feet and then i nailed it after that

its a whole lot mentaly easier if there is grass or a mat under you
 
first do them alot on a tramp then keep getting smaller and smaller air on the tramp. then try it on the tramp without bounching at all, then go onto grass or something.

i still cant do them on flat ground i always land on my knees.
 
yeah. don't throw your head back unless you have enough height. it totally opens your body up and slows down the rotation. keep your head tucked in (therefore keeping the body tight) and you'll spin like mad. whatever you do, make sure you practice into a pool or foam pit first.
 
^ find a local gymnastics center they often have like free for all time where you can pay to use all the shit but they dont make you take lessons or anything.
 
have someone spot you until you get it down. either that or put a bunch of pillows in your clothes to soften the blow.
 
i learned standing backflip at the beach when i was kind of drunk. But now i can only do em at the beach. And I hav to be mildly unsober. It sucks kind of now but when i learned it it was mad easy.
