Throwback Saga

Old head here - I’m heading out to keystone soon, haven’t really been skiing all that much since like 2016-2017 season. I’ve still got all my throwback saga gear that my old ahh still likes.

Am I about to get flamed like crazy going out to keystone? Probably won’t be hitting the park at all, just normie skiing with the fam.

Here’s my jacket set up. Pics aren’t mine, just online but that’s what I’ve been wearing for a long time. Then just some baggy black pants.

Nobody will hate on you for wearing saga hahahaha

Hahaha never know man, don’t want to be out there looking like an F’ing gaper thinking I look dope hahahaha.

You'll get clowned on all up and down the mountain OP.

Best if you send all your old Saga to me for proper disposal

not much swag out there in colorado you should be able to wear whatever without getting clowned.

Hahahaha consider it done, it’ll on the truck for overnight delivery to you by tomorrow morning.

I’m heading to the thrift shop now for some ballon pants and a fitted jacket. I’ll be set with all the cool kids!

Yea really unfortunate, I remember my first 2 years of college going to a51 and it was like a fever dream. I think vail resorts cut back their funding I would geuss. Coppers park is argubly better and longer tho

Dang, that’s a bummer for real. Thanks for the heads up tho too

Lol saga went bankrupt, not sure if you know about the Steve stepp controversy but he didn’t get paid several thousand by them. Sadly don’t think saga will make a return ever

if saga came back with minimal logo subtle shit I would buy again. Saga pants going strong 8? years now. Lower pant leg is ripped to shreds.

Who sells pants with a fit similar to the fatigue pant?

What?? No I didn’t know about that. That sucks, sounds like a bad scenario on both sides. Bummer how it ended up.

Their warehouse was robbed so they couldn’t follow through with delivery on a lot of orders. Same parent company as spyder picked them up then eventually folded them. It’s why some saga athletes went to spyder (Tim durtschi, Ben Smith, etc.)

That’s so messed up man dang, they got robbed and that’s what sunk them…. Makes sense though. Lots of mad people on unfulfilled orders and no money to recover. Sucks for the skiers too.

I get that their reputation took a huge hit because unfulfilled orders and not being able to tell people why because of the ongoing investigation, but I would think they would have been able to refund money and collect insurance. Maybe they did but it just wast enough.

I don't ski a ton anymore but I still wear all my old stuff anytime I can get out. I miss getting hyped for new Saga releases every year, don't know what you have till its gone huh?

Spyder makes plenty of wack shit that ends up on the racks at Sierra Trading post. They could easily take a risk on a Saga lineup. Nobody is wearing Spyder because Durtschi is wearing it.

There is so much spyder shit at Sierra and most of it looks bad

Fucking love my Fatigue pants, still repping mine 10 years after purchase!

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like spyder is missing out a prime opportunity to get more into the park scene by simply doing those older color schemes and slapping saga logo on it?

I still have jackets and hoodies from 2012, a bit tagged around the edges but still fresh enough, still going strong. Saga really was underrated, I cant find anything since that's comparable with their style, quality for price and durability.

That’s dope man! I agree too. Their older stuff is super nice quality and their fit is spot on

Old ski gear is the best

Always had cool pockets and features, and unique color ways and styles

My old saga coat still going strong

New ski gear still has the tech and extra pockets and stuff but the only brand that actually goes balls deep in the whacky designs of the 90s-2000s is Spyder and their jackets are super good looking IMO
