Throat Cancer

You are so dumb. Your doctor has gone through 8+ years of school and you think you can diagnose yourself better?

If you think your doctor is incompetent go get a second opinion but do not come to Newschoolers for a question like this.
 
make another appointment at the clinic, but with a different docter. explain your fears. that is the only thing you can do...talk it out with another docter, or your current docter. ask what to look for if you do have cancer. ask what the next step wouod be if the symptoms are still there in a week
 
A friend of my dad's wife just passed away this morning from it. She also had pancreatic cancer. They didn't catch it till december. She was perfectly fine. then she just went into a terminal illness.

first how old are you? cause short of being 50 you will not be getting throat cancer anytime soon unless you were puffin away when you got shot out of the womb.
second, those are the most no specific symptoms. you ever think about why doctors don't see these things and immediately say we have a winner get this man some chemo! they are pretty much the same symptoms as every other throat bug...
Think about it, your just paranoid.
 
Yea man I am sure your doctor knows nothing, they only went through 4 years of under grad, 4 years of medical school, plus another 4+ years residency to get to where they are, their 12+years spent just studying science and medicine is irrelevant and your ability to read a list of generic symptoms that match a disease clearly outweighs their wisdom and knowledge. I mean it's not like they haven't seen someone with throat cancer before that they can compare to, I am sure they have only read about it.
Just think about man, there are clearly multiple things that can explain those symptoms. It's only logical to rule out less serious conditions first. Unless you wanted your doctor to stick an surgical device down your throat and take a biopsy, then send you straight away to chemo, before ruling out more common cause that could be healed with just time and some pills.
 
throat cancer? really? do you think you have brain cancer if you have a headache too?i've had every one of those symptoms with the flu. How long have you had these symptoms anyway? if it's been over 2 weeks with all, then i'd go back to the dr. most doctors aren't retards and know what they're doing.

 
I'm with you-it's really a horrible idea to search symptoms on the web. You will find message boards of paranoid people telling you that you not only have what you suspected, but it could also be due to 7459 other possible causes. It's a good way to become paranoid, stressed, and exacerbate any of your current symptoms.
 
i am 84-112% sure you have throat cancer

you should swallow glass and razor blades so you cut all the cancer cells and kill them
 
hey, he could have it or he might not have it. Anyone that tells him he is dumb is also dumb. Keep checking back with your doctor if you are worried about it.
Having said that. WebMD told me I have a dislocated shoulder when I put in my information for a sore hip...so....I might go get surgery on my shoulder tomorrow.
