i’ve touched on this before but because of these complete cunt bags i can barely afford to shop at normal thrift stores. i know inflation is bad but that’s no excuse to price shitty jackets and pants for $20+.

moral of the story is if you’re a reseller you’re a pussy ruining it for everyone else

Such a rich white college kid vibe to do this ngl. It's not a form of refurbishing to try to be poor when you're parents are rich

Get a treadmill fatty

This is the most 2001 roast I've seen in ages. Wtf lmaoo

And op isn't wrong. Goodwill and other places are expensive as fuck sometimes for no reason. Then you got tons of people buying all the shit when it gets put out and they resell it.

with this. Fuck Depop, poshmark, and especially all these fucking “vintage” stores.

Then real thrift stores are raising the prices cause they can, which doesn’t help

Nah what’s the point of buying new clothes when you can get used for cheaper, and it’s not killing the planet.

it’s resellers who eat dick

The age of the thrift store is pretty much over. Back in the 2000s you could always find cool stuff and clothes there but not anymore. The problem is resellers that get sweetheart deals with stores to go in after merchandise dumps with Amazon scanners and grab anything they can sell online. That and everybody has Craigslist and Facebook marketplace so they would rather sell anything of value than dumping it at Goodwill. Its kind of shitty really.

I gotta say this is the first intelligent post from you I’ve seen in a while, scalpers and resellers are the scum of the earth and are the equivalent to vail

Ya fuck capitalism

I'll admit I resold from a thrift store once. I was in Goodwill to buy a retro dress shirt for a themed event. After finding a suitable shirt for $5 and on my way to the counter to pay, I saw two belts that still had the tags on them that looked to be designer-esque. Took a chance for I think $2 each. Threw them on eBay and profited $50. Didn't go into Goodwill with the intention of reselling anything but it worked out.

It's pretty lame. A lot of times people are getting rid of stuff they dont need. That said plenty of stuff has value. They might not want to deal with selling it but some items are donated to give a deal for the next person.

Would you go to the food bank and resell the free food? Obviously not because you probably couldn't. But still.

Idk it sucks to hear about in some areas. Shits gonna happen, it's always existed to some extent but idk. Kind of banking off people kindess on donations.

If you don't need it, don't buy it.

I got most my clothes from the thrift store when growing up because we were fuckin broke, it sucked ass. Now people will pay resellers a premium to dress like a fuckin methadone addict. What a time to be alive.

See that’s chill, just because only a chump will buy designer shit like that.

you’re just playing the rich there so good moves. More like the kids at goodwill bins buying pounds of clothes to turn profit.

How I grew up was that would be where you’d go if you couldn’t afford clothes elsewhere, now it’s kids fighting single moms for jackets and shit.
