sooo.........my expectations for Thrice's 4th album were gigantic. I couldnt wait for this to happen.....and, then I finally get to hear the tracks: WTF??

talk about sell outs. Im so pissed, Thrice has been my all time favourite band, and I love everything theyve done, until now.

basically, the whole album is horseshit. I mean, the musics not bad, its def. good, but its NOT Thrice. what happened to Dustin's screaming in the culmination of the songs, what happened to teppeis technical guitar riffs? Im SO disapointed, dont buy this crap.

good luck finding thrice fans in a skiing forum. i mean, sure some people listen to them, but generally might give a shit in a music forum.

and yeah, thrice rule. check out "scary kids, scaring kids", "underoath" or "silverstein" at http://www.purevolume.com.

um, dude, this is media and arts forum, not ski gabber. this forum is dedicated to music, movies etc. and there is a shitload of thrice fans on here.

and yeah, are you saying thrice resembles scary kids scaring kids, underoath and silverstein? or are you just mentioning them out of randomness? the latter, I hope, since thats like comparing cannibal corpse with 50 cent. almost.

it's a change for them, but i still think all around its a good album. sure he doesn't scream that much, but the music is still really good.

well i didn't realize there even exicted a forum dedicated to that, so guess im sorry there.

But how can you say that those bands don't resemble to thrice? I mean yeah, they're a little harder but thrice is listed as post-hardcore, and that must counts for something. another sight resemblence might be staind or even seether if you want similarities in the more mainstream sence.

and how the fuck can you compare my stuff with the CC/50 cent resemblence? The singer in thrice fucking shouts his lounges out in "hold fast hope"

i got the leak two weeks ago and since then have been listening to vheissu non-stop. it's different than anything they've done in the past and i agree, it's not like thrice to put out something that sounds like this. but change is okay, and maybe it's time. the album itself is amazing and sets a certain tone from start to finish. the lyrics in all songs are good, and the album overall shows a more mature side. "red sky" is my favorite song on vheissu. it's even better live. so give vheissu a chance. you can always go back and listen to identity crisis (one of my favorite albums ever) again.

i really don't see how vheissu could be considered selling out when the album is completly different from anything they've done. i downloaded it a couple weeks ago and have listened to it like 30 times.

was anyone else reminded of radiohead by this album?

identity crisis has some of the best riffs they've ever recorded, granted there are some amazing parts on ios. yeah it sounds rough and unpolished (more like what you'd expect to hear at a show) compared to taita but that's partly the result of time and a major lable. i guess i like identity crisis the best because even though it sounds a little rough they were so fucking good even back then. it really displays their potential. i love all of their albums though. i just like this one the best.

i dunno if i'd day they sold out, but this definitely wasn't the album i've been waiting on for months now.

i don't hate it, but i'm definitely really disappointed.

Did you just completely ignore what everyone, including the creator of this thread, said prior to your entering here

dude, thrice were fuckin sell outs when they made artist in the ambulance. everything before then was dope as hell. and dude, uderoath is wicked stupid now, such a little freshman band.
