Thread titles turning Blue?

why exactly do some thread titles turn blue while others are black, i did a quick searchbar and couldnt find anything, could somebody help me out with this?

when you log out, and then log back in, the threads that are blue have not seen any new activity (posts) since your last log out. The black ones have new posts.

ohh whattt thats cool, well thanks for that, so i geuss its like an easy way to spot threads with recent activity
