Thoughts on Salomon?

I personally haven't skied them since the Xscream days. On that note, it would be sick if everyone could post photos of their favorite Salomons. *No pocket rockets allowed!!!!

I've had nothing but good experiences with Salomon, especially with my NFX's. i got them super cheap at the end of the season last year and have been using them since November in everything from mixed snow and dirt to ice. The bases are fast the edges durable. I've put them through the wringer this season and can only say good things about them.

Well I certainly wouldn't. When I look through the ski gabber, I see so many threads that one could argue belong elsewhere. If you want your thread seen, put it here. If you don't want it seen, put it somewhere else.

So because you know one person who had a bad experience the whole company is shit? I know people who have skied Salomons for years with no problems. Not to mention that the STH is one of the best bindings on the market, and so are their boots.

i have like 10 pairs of s914 and 916 bindings... the Q Lab is a badass ski and salomon hooks industry people up fucking awesome.

im skiing x max 130 boots right now and theyre working pretty good, the mountain lab is a rad boot. the rep is a cool dude.

ive blown up a variety of skis so i could theoretically say a bunch of companies are shit i guess with the logic of this thread.

So much Salomon hate because they aren't "core". Salomon is a great company that makes some great gear, and they give back to the sport by giving us Freeski TV
 
They make good stuff. The STH2 bindings are in my opinion the best freeski bindings, easily on par with FKS/Pivots. Their freestyle/freeski skis are also great I demoed a pair of Rocker2 100's and I thought they were awesome.

Also just because a friend blew his skis up in 10 days or something doesn't mean the whole brand is bad. You can pretty much destroy any pair of skis no matter the quality in a few days if you treat them like crap and do dumb shit like huge disasters onto flat rails.
 
I'm a fan of the boots and bindings, as far as the skis go they can be fun but you not gonna get the same durability you might in some on3ps so if you hear takes heavy abuse stay away from their skis probably

If Some dumbo blows out his edge on a rock or rail, it's not the brands fault.
