Thoughts on NS...I wish they could put out a mag

I'm a big fan of the interviews and contest updates going on so far this season. On point as usual, I wish NS would put out a mag, something "fresher" than pow for the younger generation, and not as "fluffy" as Freeskier, skiing's new version of myspace. Namean?
 
i think freeskier and powder are both very credible magazines. newschoolers doesnt need a magazine. if you look at it the interviews that are conducted are very short compared to all of the interviews in either magazine. and they have like a new interview like every few days which isnt enough to put in a magazine.
 
I dunno man. A couple more journalists for here could be good, I mean look at the traffic NS gets as far as the ski industry goes. Plus it could be an opportunity for some local mountains/comps to get articles written on them, and some local athletes. I know for sure there are some around here that should be written about.
 
I think their may be enough talent among the athletes themselves to put together a dope collaboration. Steele Spence is in graphic design, Boronowski and Pollard could contribute artwork, I'm sure they could find some writers to do longer articles if they don't have any already, and Photogs as well. Even if it was an AM style collaboration I think it could be dope. My opinion.

Oh and I'm not that impressed by Powder or Freeskier.
 
they could definitly put out a magazine, and it would probally be really sucessful, and may put out some of the other ski magazines out of business depending on the sucess of it, but it would take at least a few years to put othermagazines out of business.

yah id say so. but i dont think ns would really have enough info to make a magazine. Freeskier and powder have all the info you need
 
I dunno, I think NS could be more personal and go more into the more underground skiing world and explore everything. We're our own little community with some of us higher in skiing popularity than others and I think with the magazine it could get some people to the spotlight who should be there.
 
yeah like have lots of short interestig and good stuff with sweet photos and other stuff. Rather then a couple long artiles

but on another note, i dont think ns should spend it smoney on producing a magazine, when we have articles, pictures, forum, reviews, events, and videos on here

go pick up freeskier, powder, backcountry, skiing, or any other small ski mags out there
 
yea that would be dopeeeee...plus ns inverviews pros all the time and has like trip stories and pro and am rider stuff and it also prob has a tonnn of conectinos to people

I'm not that impressed by Powder or FS either. If nothing else we could use another voice repping the way I see skiing on the shelf.

I'll bet Bishop and Co. have the present skills or knows people in the industry that could make this happen, all they need is the $$$ to set it up.
