I just got "Like a Lion" to write a paper about celebrity narratives and my focus is on T-Hall. I've watched it 3 times and it hasn't lost its worth. Some people didn't like it though, what's err-body think about it?
It really is well done. I walked out afterwards looking amazedly at my watch, I couldn't believe it managed to be engaging given it's not a short movie. I mean you spend an hour plus on a regular ski movie and it's hard not to get pretty bored by it dragging on but like a lion flew by. Just a really entertaining doc.
That's awesome you're writing a paper on Tanner. It'd be cool if you posted it on NS. From what I've seen that film resonated so well with so many different people, it'd be incredible to see it released to a wider audience outside of skiing. Tanner has quite the story.
It blew my mind at IF3. Does anyone remember the one guy they interviewed who had probs a half O of bud, some joints, a beer, and a revolver on the table in front of him while they interviewed him. I was dying. I think I may have taken a picture of it but it's on my other computer, I'll try and find it tomorrow.
I'm waiting for my order as well, i live really close to where they shipped it from so should be here soon, im also writting a paper about Tanner, for my english class we had to write a research paper and I chose a biography on Tanner
It was SOOOO SICK. Really honest in every way . Tanner was up front about everything, even about that drunk speech he made at Linecatcher. Big ups to Iberg for an amazing film
