Thought on rossi s3's

I love mine, they're really easy to butter and a lot fun to just play around on the mountain with. They're fine on rails and decent on jumps. I mounted mine with a pair of px12 jibs and they're pretty heavy, so I would recommend mounting them with a lighter binding.

i haven't ridden them buy my friend absolutely loves them, and i ride my ep pros in the park a lot so i know what rocker in the park is like too and one thing is for sure and thats they LAND/RIDE switch so nicely, they are also really nice for carving off of lips of jumps.
I'd say get them.

I've got the 08/09 ones and they are one of the nicest skis I've ever riden. Just the right weight and low swing weight makes it perfect for me. Bit fatter than some of the other park skis, so makes life off-piste a lot easier. The only downside is the topsheet gets chipped to fuck and my edges have taken a beating.

how short do they ski? i'm like 5'8" and 160 pounds. would a 168 be too small? especailly if i'm going to be doing lots of chopped up crud as well as park?

yeh, they measure really short. I'm 5'8 135 and I rode the 177 which wasn't much longer than my 171 moments. I wished i had the 186s, not that I particularly liked them.

I liked the s3 alot while it lasted which was about 2 weeks. They snapped landed of a 50ft jumps. I also weigh 150 which seems a bit strange the ski would break. I mounted them with marker griffons and it was a sweet set up, i would deff recommend them. And if they do break rossi is really good about replacing broken skis. i got next years ones. Pretty stoked

I would also recommend them, they ski really nice. In the past I skied the Foils and the lord. The S3 has opend another world for me. They give me a lot of confidence in the park, what did help me in the funpark to do new tricks. Also of pist they are nice, but as said before, don't buy them to short.

I'm 179 and bought them in 177. They are fine, but sometimes i think the 186 would have been better.

such a fun ski. id go with at least the 177s though, they definitely ski short. my brother is barely 6 foot and he rode the 186's no problem, even with never having ridden a ski remotely as long as that before.

but basically the best all mountain slayer out there. the early rise makes them do really well in pow, but they still hold an edge on groomers fairly well too.
