I have an opportunity to be hooked up because of this pro model deal, basically the deal is i can ski them for the season and if I like them i can buy them for $400 (w/ bindings) at the end of the season. The only problem is that I'm like 5'2'' and i usually ski a 158, is that too long of a ski for me?

what size? and the answer is prolly not. a few cm is hard to notice. and what if you dont like them? you just give them back? cause that sounds like a sweet deal. however, if you have to pay for them outright, id look somewhere else. there are way better skis than that, and if you scrounge around you can get similar deals on better gear.

They're 165's, yeah I can use them for the season and then if i want them the skies+bindings will cost $400, if i don't have the $ or don't want them i just give them back to the mountain

Haha, ski those babies for a year, beat the bejesus out of them, then return them. The length shouldn't be a problem. It will probably just take a day or 2 tops to get adjusted.

most people like longer skis for pow. more ski, more surface area, and thus more float. 7 cm will not make a difference. i'm 5'1'' and i ski the mike nicks in a 158 and old mad trix in a 162. the major difference i notice when skiing them is the waist, not length.

like someone else said, try and shop around, too. there are much better pow skis on the market right now. but if you just need something for one season, this is a good deal.
