T is pretty much the man. I have always liked tanner and have a lot of respect for the man. Whatever your opinion, you can have it, but whatever that opinion is show him a little respect. There hasn't been as much hate on here lately which is great, but there still are some people that don't get it. This new pick sides thing is lame as well, I think that was just a couple of peoples thoughts though. In the video of Tanner on the front page he talks about reading threads on newschoolers, so this ones for tanner. Give him a shout out or whatever, and if you don't want to, show a little respect and take you negatives somewhere else.

Whats up T? Congradulations on the X-games win. Watching you and C.R. in the first ski movie I bought, Ski movie 3, back in the day was one of the greatest influences on my skiing. I hope your new movie turns out great and I can't wait to watch it. It would be amazing you had a newschoolers party next year some time that all of us could ski with ya and then do some partying, just an idea. Hope you have a great spring season.
 
for sure what he said about the X games pipe and pipe in general was on point, "not about how many spins, degree of difficulty, right left, alley oop" makes way more sense and is way more healthy for skiing. style my friend, you got it, flat 3 in the pipe to a switch hit?!? so sick and smooth
 
ski movie 3 is what really flipped the switch on for me, since the day that came in the mail every day and every dollar goes to skiing in some shape or form and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks tanner

 
Yo tanner, it would be really cool if you actual read/posted in here but you probably won't. Your the best skier ever and keep killing and progressing this sport. I could go on for ages about your skiing.

Btw you should totally compete in a couple slope style comps next season just to show your dominance.
 
I watched Believe for the first time last night, and I would have to say it was the illest ever. Tanner basically just stabbed everyone who ever talked shit about him.

would it really be fun if there was no contraversy? Tanner is the man but what would you do if you everyone agreed all the time. Especially in the summer, what would you do with your time if you couldn't gang up on the one guy who says "tanner is a little ____ (fill in)" Everyone can't cheer for one guy. It wouldn't be fun. Don't get me wrong constructive things can and are being done on NS but there is just too much time in the day.
 
believe was epic!!!! bowl session at the end was a dope touch. pure mountain vibes. for the massive, try and edit in some of those fully flared slow mos. that would be crazy.
 
about 5 years ago skiing was much smaller, there wasnt a whole lot of pro's but tanner being one of them pushed the sport and progressed freestyle skiing incredibly fast. now there is room for a lot of skiers and different companys to jump into the mix. while many skiers are still in the park doing their thing, tanner has moved on and continues to push skiing with his movie Believe. at the level and size skiing is at right now of course there will be those who have nothing good to say about him, and they are the ones who just dont understand. more people need to look at things without a comparative state of mind and just take things for what they are..........keep it up tanner.

You've been killing it for ever, from that kid with crazy blond hair in old ski movies from PBP to the most dominant skier in the business right now. I can't wait to see the Massive and hope you have a good season.

I have to say that I finally saw Believe and it was seriously the best ski movie I have seen since Sessions 1242 and Royalty. For sure in my top 5 of all time, no question. Just simple great skiing, great soundtrack, and lots of sick powder. I am actually pretty bored by a lot of movies out now, but Believe kicked some serious ass.

Can't wait to see what is in store for next year.

Believe and Idea were tied for the best movie this season in my opinion
 
tanner, ive been skiing for 19 years, been alive for 21. how is that possible? I skied before I could walk. According to my parents anyways, I dont remember it. Regardless, throughout that time I watched the rise (and subsequent fall) of Johnny Moseley, the New Canadian Air Force, and many others. But I still stick besides my statement that you single handedly made skiing cool again. Snowboarding had taken over our generation and you a brought much needed "cool factor" if you will, back. Not to mention your continued contributions to our sport through your progressive style and tricks, and through your movies and through the creation of Armada.

Thanks man. Skiing wouldn't be the same without you.
 
Ya man, keep up the good work. I feel like sense he gave us the shout out that there is a lot less hate for tanner on here which is good. It's nice to see NS not bash all the time.
 
tanner if you put out a dope clip every once in a while like you did with the wall jib so many more people will buy the massive because they get to see how its building up and what they can look forward too. thats my intentions anyways.
 
cant wait for the massive.. just seeing that urban 900 sold it to me for fall 08.. and yeah, the xgames run was the sickset think i think ive ever seen.

i was supposed to go watch believe last night but couldnt, we just had a mikey p memorial jam, and some people said you knew him did you?
 
all the skiing in his movies are great, i just hate how he makes his movie a propaganda story to try and give the viewer a developed idea or personality that tanner is something different then he is in person. I mean they portray him as some serious guy that is so soul driven and a quiet guy, well in show and prove more the believe. Then when you see him in person at X or any where he doesnt necessarily carry himself in that way not sure if its cuz he's almost always drunk or what, but he snapped at someone in the crowd at X for voicing there opinion. He sure portrays two different people around a camera and away from one in the few appearances i've seen of him.

Now i'm not bagging tanner, he's a great guy, and loves the sport and has done so much for it, his movies just feel a bit forced with a story they want you to develop this different idea of Tanner than he actually seems to have. I dont know, i guess i'm probably the only one that sees this.
 
I think since he does x-games pipe he should do x-games slope and win that too, then spend the rest of his time filming.
 
I don't know about the movie thing, I don't get that impression. I don't know if he "snapped at someone in the crowd at X for voicing there opinion" or not but if he did, thats ok by me. Not only was he booed but someone threw a snowball at him during his run. All those people at X-games were blind. They sit and listen for the amout of time your in the air and thats it, that was the only reason they cheer.
 
funny to see its now cool to love tanner again. the shit he used to cop unfairly on this forum was a joke, especially for the tanner lovers amongst us, who have been supporting him since the days he wrote the book on the sport we love

if skiing was a religion, then tanner would be God...he created this thing, and is the autobiographer of our bible. and when i say created, i mean that he has revolutionised this sport time and time again, effectively leading it to what it has become today. go back and watch tanner as a 15 year old...the kid was born with steeze
 
yo man, your definately the most wellrounded skier out there, and i respect that. I've always been into skiing the whole mountain, and have done my fair share of givin my friends crap for always being in the park... I think its so sick that you, one of the best park skiers ever, seem to share that opinion, and its great cuz you can have the influence to get kids to go out and take their skiing to the backcountry... so props and keep it up
