This should be the goal of every skier

can someone tell me the name of this video, I'm at school so I cant see it, but I have access to youtube. +k to first person to reply to me

I thought that whole edit was quite mediocre, there was nothing in there that was especially creative or technical, just looked like how most people who dont have access to bigger skiing ski IMO

cool edit but making the mtn your bitch? really? it was just a kid having early season fun on groomers and rollers without poles.

you're not the only one. All I saw there was skiing with bad form. I didn't see any "making the mountain his bitch", all I saw was skiing with bad form. some sketch 360's and half assed nose butters. Pretty sure Alta has more to offer than cat tracks to nose butter on and side hits.

But, as stated - if you're having fun...

props to the dude for having fun, but as a ski instructor i found it incredibly hard to watch. he barely ever leaned forward and made any turns... the no poles thing was kinda lame too.

looked like fun, but work on the form and make some good turns too, turns are more fun than just hauling ass down the hill...

this, that guy in no way made Alta his bitch, don't get me wrong dude was shredding and having a blast which is what it's all about but I just don't see all the hype around this edit

This video speaks volumes for the legitimaticy of the adaptive skiing program at his home mountain. The fact that he is even out there skiing at all is inspiring to soo many!!

why would you think he is trolling? the kids form was horrible. maybe if he learned how to ski properly, he could one day "make the mountain his bitch". Until then, he needs to get some ski poles and take a lesson. I'm all for no poles if you know how to ski.

Looks fun and all, but I definitely aspire to ski a lot better than this, and that really wasn't the whole mountain, no cliffs, no steeps, just side hits and groomers.

It was all great and he killed it but he needs to keep control of his arms, instead of being an octopus lolMy fav skier that doesnt use poles has gotta be Garret russel, kills it so hard without poles

This is my favourite edit of the season so far. Hayden crushes it. It's like he's surfing/skating the mountain. Bringin his own style and doing his own thing. And the filming makes it even more surfy/ skatey. More edits likes this are required in the world.

im going to go ahead and say that the edit captured the very essence of skiing, going out and having fun while taking full advantage of everything the terrain gives you

I'd like to see more edits like this. I've seen so many edits and movies with skiers doing insanely awesome stuff like triples and shit, that I've become almost desensitized to how amazingly skilled pro skiers are. I see Sammy Carlson do a Sw triple rodeo and I just think "nice..." This video is a nice change of pace for me, and looked super fun.

Reminded me of a Berrics "off the grid" video, in both the shooting style and the premise, just having fun on the stuff that people normally overlook.

Yes, it may bore some people, but I'd love to see more edits of guys (who are good) cruising the mountain, tearing up all the side hits and rollers

One of my home "mountain/hills" has 1000ft more vertical than Alta. I live on the East Coast.

prefer this to park all day! you can do stuff once that cant be repeated multiple times, and its like a complete freedom. i know some people feel me on this

Exactly, I'd do this with my friend at Kicking Horse when there is no fresh snow. There is no park at the Horse, but we've always managed to jib around and have fun. I'm glad to see stuff like this. Mediocre skiing? Deal with it

i'm from the midwest and as soon as i learned to ski when i was 3 this is what i did all the time and still do when not in the park. but i'll second the whole "buy some poles" movement. he reminds me of a little kid who just got out of ski school.
