yeah didnt mean to be calloused about it.
but still. seemed from the general consensus of the bodybuilding forum that he was attention seeking. unfortunately, attention seeking and killing yourself are not exactly connected in western society. we expect people to fend for themselves to a certain extent. posting about it and broadcasting it in an artificially created world (i.e. myspace, an online forum, etc) is sort of asking for people not to take you seriously. not to be pessimistic, but do our online friends have a responsibility for our health? especially if we have been double crossing in the past...
either way, RIP to that kid. no one wants to see someone young die. unfortunately, in my job (healthcare, emergency, critical care, psych) people who want to end themselves do it no matter what interventions we provide.
