This kid gets a lot of hate

So theres this kid at my high school, a senior, and he raps. He's a ginger and gets more hate than i've ever seen anyone get. Hes a nice kid so I made a music video for him for a discount. I've never understood why people hate him so much, and i'm not big on rap so I cant really compare his music to anything. Can someone with good musical taste give me their opinion on this guy? His nice, smart and has good lyrics, in my opinion. Other people think differently.

If you like it, show him, and post a comment or something. This kid has stuck with it for the last 4 years despite his huge crowd of haters and I admire that.

Someone with a good musical taste will probably not be familiar with rap music, but never the less it sounds like normal rap to me so i guess that counts. I like the video and will leave a comment later.
 
The video might have made him seem worse. Not that the filming is bad, he doesn't have a good enough presence. When he's just standing in front of the mike it looks boring as hell
 
you can tell when someone puts everything into their music. this kid doesn't have that. I'm not trying to sound like a dick. You can tell when someone doesn't have that presence in something, I don't feel it in my soul you know.
 
well I've clicked play twice now and its playing again because actually I like it (and im not really into rap)

on my shitty laptop speakers it sounds like its produced ok... I would say that as he is the only person to feature in the video it makes him seem like a loner, not in a harsh way, and his demeanor sort of reflects that. A little bit of confidence will do him THE WORLD of good, not surprised he looks a bit nervous and shy after people have hated him for years, motherfuckers I hate people sometimes. Let the guy do what he wants its not cool to tell people they're shit at anything what good does that do

I really have no taste in rap. All I listen to are the beats, that's why i'm sort of a mac miller fan, cuz he has sick beats. Otherwise I can care less of what they're saying. But I still despise mainstream rap crap.
 
I usually charge from $200-$400. He approached me asking for a simple video with 2-3 angles and a couple of cuts for $50. I said ok, but ended up doing more for him... I just cant create something I don't put all of my effort into. I guess you could call me a perfectionist, maybe. but yea, $50.
 
The music was alright but he needs to look like he is rapping. Get some babes in there and he will be a hit xD
 
Ah okay just curious is all. And i thought the rapping was pretty good, just in the video his lack of emotion detracted from it.
