If I were a soldier in some hostile area and a person came running into an offlimit area, I'd do the same thing. I blame whoever was in charge of her, not the troops doing their job. This isn't news.

There wasn't really any way for them to have known her condition/situation, or figure it out while she's running at them. This is just a lesson in the reality of an area constantly under siege. If you try to think of it from the point that was stated earlier; what would you do if you saw someone running across a restricted area if there were constant suicide bombings going on ion YOUR neighborhood. Well I'm not one who likes seeing my family killed by someone with blind hatred towards us. And rally that's all the Palestinian people that are doing these things are running on anymore. They've hated Jews and Isrealis for thousands of years now, and they don't even know why anymore. Popular leaders of the Palestinians, who were once considered terrorists, actually support thier people blowing themselves up if it means to kill just one more Isreali. At this point it's hatred, and not a divine calling. The Isrealis are doing whatever it is nessecary to stop this shit from happening, and that is not wrong.

i really feel bad for the israelis, as their stuck in a situation for which the world is at a loss to solve... their situation is almost hopeless specifically, how palestinians will antagonize israelis soldiers to the point that one of them will shoot, then they instantly assume no responsibility for it and blame the entire thing on the israeli soldiers. though i feel very bad for that retarted girl, the palestininans, and whoever was watching over her, has to realize that this is the fault of their societies embracement of martyrs. their would be no reason for such road blocks, rules, or fortifications if palestinian suicide bombers wouldn't sneak in every time the defense was slacking. The sad thing about the matter is, they aren't even fighting for their independence anymore, their fighting because it is all they know, and they dont want that to change. Some time ago Israel's prime minister proposed a deal with Arafat, meeting almost 95 percent of the Palestinian demands. How did Arafat respond? He ordered another infidah.

The only possible way to solve the crisis is for the Palestians to take it upon themselves to reform their educational systemu and stop pushing young men to be martyrs.

^What? So YOU know why the Palestinians are blowing themselves up in order to kill as many Isrealis as they can? YOU know the psychology of these people and the religious beliefs of the people that are doing this. Do you reall y think that the sense of hopelessness is the reason these people are bloeing themselves up. The act of suicide is the greatest act of hopelessness. But suicide bombing is an entirely different thing. Martyrdom is held to be one of the highest honors a muslim can achieve. In doing so they feel guaranteed a high spot in heaven, not only that but a respected name for the family. These things might not mean to much to us westerners, because we cannot grasp as to why these people will go as far to strap a bomb to themselves and go to the most crowded place they can, and then blow themselves up. In my mind it's the sickest and most perverted act a person can do. These people are pushed, and trained by the leaders of these religious sects to do these things, and it starts a cycle in which they kill isrealis, and in response Isreal launches attacks on these sects, which then declare some kind of innocence, then more bombings happen. In so many ways the blame can go to both sides, but Isreal is only protecting itself, the only unprovoked hostile actions that have been taken so far have been the bombings and murders of Isreali citizens. It wasn't the Isrealis that threw the first stone as it were when the string of bombings started, didn't they stop calling them suicide bombings in the first place?

A solution isn't going to come from a single side, can you not grasp that?

Say today the Palestinians stopped reacting (in the only way they know and can) to any Israeli invasion. More Palestinian homes would be dozed and more Jewish homes would be built... Palestinians would still be left without proper access to medical facilities, sewage systems, or any form of infrastruture. Trading bans would still be in place, and they would still import 10+ times more than they export.

Given this example nothing is going to be acheived if the US continues to pick sides... simply because their interests are not in the greater good of ALL.

Anyways... I've been cutting back on NS for the last couple of weeks so don't expect me to have anything more to say.

Basically: US support of Israel is what's hindering peace, because we only see it as; ''Well that guy strapped a bomb to his chest and killed himself and 10 other people, he must be a terrorist, and we don't like terrorists'' compared to ''If you are dressed in military garb and have the support of the US government, it's alright to systematically torture, murder and ignore all international law''

I'm gonna keep arguing with you, even if you don't respond, but anyway. The point is not that the entire situation can be solved by once side, it is that the Palestinians must start the peace process by fixing what they teach young impressionable children. It is not Islam's fault for what they do, Islam is one of the most tolerant religions, it is the perversion of it in todays modern world. Although I'm not saying everything Israel does is right, and it isn't they really cannot do anyting towards peace they havn't already done unless Palestine takes the first step.
