No Ski & Snowboard Check in 2009-2010In an effort to cut costs, Bogus Basin will NO LONGER offer a Ski and Snowboard check at either lodge. In turn, new racks have been built to stow gear and Bogus Basin’s Black Diamond Sports will offer low-cost combination locks for skis and snowboards. Bogus Basin encourages all guests to take responsibility for their own gear and keep it secure. This move will save your non-profit area more than $70,000 annually, one of numerous cost cutting measures taken to keep skiing and riding affordable at Bogus Basin.

i think im gonna be spending my 3 weeks skiing Brundage.
 
what's the big deal? my old mountain didn't offer anything like this, and it was huge for the east coast (7springs).
either get a lock or separate your skis when you go into the lodge. if someone really wants to steal a pair they're not going to snag one and go hunting for the other
 
meh, Bogs can be a sketchy place. so much shit gets stolen every year, this is only gonna add to it.
 
they are soooooo poor. they raised the season pass prices from $199 to $230.

plus they want to blow up the bunny hill and redo it and make a new childcare place and, put in a quad for morning star. which wont happen with the way the mountains money is being used.

i think we will be lucky to see that within the next 20 years if anyone sticks around.

 
be glad you have something to ski on, cause if bogus wasnt there you'd have to drive an hour and a half everytime you wanted to ski. it may suck but its all we have
 
Yeah this blows for sure. I'm just gonna keep my stuff in sight at all times. But i really dont see how a fence with racks and two guys standing there costs $70,000 a year....

and buy a ski lock or separate your shit, they are like 10 dollars at greenwoods, ima just buy a lock. And how the fuck is it 70,000 for two people to sit there and give people little plastic things? I hope they spend that "70k" on something worthwhile

u make it sound like we're all stuck here for the rest of our lives... if i wasn't such a good friend and bailed on some of my homies, i'd be in colorado right now having the time of my life... but instead i'm stuck in a 1-year lease in this fucking state with nothing to ski on...

can't wait til next season... hopefully we can all make the best of this one. if it ever fuckin snows enough.
 
i'd kill to ski the fucking cat track from Showcase to the main lodge in the spring when rocks are showing.
 
i'm actually one of those people who can't afford to ski... :/ damn court fines, bail, and broken vehicle screwed me this year...
 
you're right about one thing... i'd kill to ski... but i'd probably only hurt someone to ski bogus. tahoe in t-minus 4 days and utah in a week and 1/2!! jea!

my dad and i will each have 2 pairs in the locker
 
point taken, but i really just want to be able to get off my skis and sit down and warm up when my legs get tired of working double time to deal with nooboarders ice and shitty park set ups.

bogus food prices are getting out of hand. 10$ for a double bacon cheeseburger? and since there is no ski check I can't bring food in my backpack because I would have to by a fucking locker.
 
know whats even worse? the fucking no lids and straws shit. supposedly they are comming back thursday. riley also told us that they sold one of their groomers.
 
Dude some snowboarders brought there boards inside and no one did shit. I'm bringing my skis inside next time.
 
lodge food is fucking ridiculous

i brought a lunch today consisting of a cup of noodles in my coat pocket and granola bars, wasnt filling so i had to buy a second one later

corn dogs are no longer available for the taking

there are no lids to say my sierra mist is water

and burgers are fucking expensive

had to hide my damn bacon to get a "cheese burger"

so i could afford it

the other day i got caught hiding the chicken from my chicken strips and trying to just pay for fries
 
Last Year all I had to say was "Chicken Under the Seat" and they would put the chicken and then the fries. So then It would look like it was only fries.
 
On reason why bogus may suck is because everyone steals so they loose money.

All of you guys are saying what you do to get stuff cheaper, and i have known soo many people that steal from bogus, if you just paid what you were supposed to bogus wouldnt suck so hard, because they would actually be making some money to make things nicer.

same goes for lift tickets and borrowing peoples season passes.
 
it doesnt matter what people do, bogus will never change. even if they made a bunch of money, they would probably just do something rediculous with it, like add more buses or something very unnecessary.
