This is what pops up when you enter the cavaliers website

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

haha that's a classy display of personality right there. I hope that Sportscenter digs that letter up from the archives when Lebron wins a title before the Cavs.

but... they won't. miami beat the mavs.. like, in 2004, when the nba sucked.. and more people followed what was going on with kobe's dick (and rode it) than watched the games.. i mean, if kobe's personal problems bring his game down, the entire league has it easier.. and dwayne is a teetotaler (lame, nobody wants some weak partier to win a championship, the celebration at the staples center last month was bad enough).. plus, it's miami, everybody goes to florida in the winter - when the basketball season is goin on - cuz it's nice there.. which means miami is full of pussies who cant take cold weather.. nobody likes pussies who cant take cold weather.. nobody wants pussies to win a championship.. and they wont, cuz nice weather in the winter makes u soft.. and chris bosh? oh, wow, from the raptors, how hard is it to stand out there.. if lebron wanted a team, he could pay for one out his own pocket.. shit, he could probably get a loan to buy a franchise, considering how rapidly his income is rising and how marketable jordan was after his career (that is, if the financiers are still dumb enuf to make stupid loans, which they definitely are).. but, then again, as we see time and time again in professional sports, well just have to see which way the refs are rigged

rigged refs? pussies in miami? wtf are you getting at? lebron is arguably the best basketball player in the world, at his side will almost definitely be chris bosh and dwayne wade, and if those 3 can't win a championship, then you tell me who will.

sorry for dub posting but i agree with this. ^^ lebron can go wherever he wants and since cleveland couldn't bring him a championship, he went somewhere else. they have no right to be mad, he was there for 7 years. thats plenty of time to win a championship, especially with lebron james

The Cavs expecting to have Lebron forever is like the Kings expecting to have Tyreke Evans when his contract expires, it's possible, but highly unlikely.

oh no your star finally left. so what? get the fuck over it. it's not like lebron was gonna stay with cleveland forever? quit crying about it and making empty promises /thread.

leave? i dont have anything on my newschoolers profile, not to mention i obviously live in brooklyn.. i dont care about the cavaliers, nor do i care about miami, nor momma's boy dwayne wade, chris bosh is cool but wutever, i only care about lebron bein in a knicks jersey, i just think he looks great in blue

well now if he does, he will never be known as one of the greatest, he will be known as the guy who could of been great but in the end needed two more superstars to get the hardware. He will never be a jordan, and even if he somehow matches jordan with rings, Wade will sttill have more. he screwed himself and im glad he did..hes a fucking scumbag.

Wow, cavs owner is a fucking douche bag, this guy had like, what, 5 years to build a team around Lebron to take him to a championship, but instead of acknowledging his own massive failings he pins this shit on Lebron. I couldn't give less of a shit about basketball, but this is just infuriating. The guy went to a place where he thought he had a better chance of winning and ring. He went to Miami to take advantage of a better lifestyle than what was available to him in Cleveland. Shut the fuck up, leave the guy alone.

You should have fucking seen the front page of the Plain Dealer today lol. The entire page was just a pic of Lebron and some small text pointing to his hand: "7 Years, no rings"
