none of that NSG, long live media and arts. looking for some positive feedback for this skate edit my friend put together of me, i'm not sure how to embed right so i'll save myself the fail. +K for embed though

thanks, all shot with a goproHD using final cut, no color correction was used, that's just the color of nevada , the whole state is tinted almost sepia-ish haha

unrelated, but if you posted it autoplaying (i'm pretty sure you did, or maybe i just clicked on it and forgot), you might want to pm a mod pretty quick cuz that can be a pretty big ban now.
 
Some of those shots were nice and smooth, but when you stopped moving it was kinda shaky which usually happens if your on a board I guess. But the smooth shots were nice, and the intro shot was cool too.
What song by the way? I'm trying to type some of them into google but it's not getting me very far for whatever reason.
 
yeah that autoplay was not intentional, i just tried to use the old embed code , i'm not too good at it ha, can i change it through vimeeo settings?,
 
it's called "poison" done by bert jansch. found it stumbling through youtube earlier this year glad you like it
 
Sorry if you didnt figure out autoplay yet, all i read was that you didnt know how to embed first. dammit, but hopefully it'll be all good.
 
much appreciated, yeah i'm not sure why it did that or where i went wrong but as long as pr4l is on NS i can rest easy haha
 
but hopefully nobody would ever get banned for accidentally embedding their video with autoplay in a thread about their video
 
and OP, you asked for positive feedback...so does that mean you only want us to say good things about it?
or did you mean more like constructive criticism?
 
yeah like any tips really,, i just started using final cut so just wanted to see howw other people would have edited it differently
 
Good edit, angles varied alot which is good. Few pointers:

Try color correcting, shots looked raw and boring. Color correcting can really make (or break) the quality of an edit.

Some of the shots seemed shaky. Never a bad idea to invest in some sort of camera stabilizer.

Always remember to export you videos in HD. Once again, it can make or break the quality of an edit. There's probably a million videos out there on the internet on how to export in whatever editing program you're using. So take an extra minute and make sure your video is exported in HD.
 
alright i've color corrected before just not here, i'll use it on the next one for sure. we used a short pole mount, maybe gona add some counter weights or something this week,
 
yeah we had the water proof door on the gopro that day so the sound wasnt great to begin with, just changed the back today though to fix that
