well, the article doesnt outright say that bamboo was first used in Boone's skis and no one elses previously.

but i agree, its rather ridiculous to blow it up so much rather than just list bamboo cores as a feature. but whatever, my opinion.
 
just a press release, not a real article. and it is BS (as far as them being the first). Kingswood has been making bamboo skis for years, as have many other companies, I'm sure. also, aren't Boones made in China? Talk about unsustainable...The "carbon footprint" of shipping between California and China surely offsets any advantage given by using bamboo. To be clear, I'm not hating, K2 and Line and I'm sure other manufacturers also produce skis in China and elsewhere, I'm just pointing out the claims made were kinda silly in my opinion.
 
it doesn't say anything about them being the first to use bamboo in that article...therefore i don't see any point to this thread.

as in, you pick the graphic and then the ski, or the ski and then the graphic. fresh idea.
 
wow im sorry but Boone sucks. Their skis look like shit and theres like 3 topsheets to choose from. OMG Bamboo core! That makes your skis completely environmentally friendly. Great job Boone!
 
If that is true, I take back that part of what I said. That's not the impression I was under though.
 
Not trying to start a argument or anything but to me it seems there claim is that they are the first solely bamboo core company. like others have done it before but they are the first to be solely bamboo. Could have misunderstood that whole article but thats my opinion.

boone skis are lame, they don't have a serious pow ski and the graphics are just fucking stupid. the whole hot chicks as graphics thing is just way to cheesy for my taste, atleast head did a good job on theirs.
 
well first i tought that skis were too long so this winter i was snowblading, but i think that this winter ima ski on boones 82 mm long skis is thight!

the one with the swedish twins was hot, the new one not so much. I'd still rather just have a ski with a cool design on it. The hot girl thing is trashy, it doesnt look good at all. Though the one with the swedish twins i did like but thats the only one.
 
Reading that article gave me a BOONEr.I'm not a fan of Boone. No company should make claims like that to get publicity.Shit's weak.
