Will that work? I hope so.

If not: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=00gAbgBu8R4

This looks amazing for the capabilities of future video games. Games will also probably be $100 each by then also...

Sparknotes: Polygon shapes with color are currently what make up the virtual world in video games ect. This company are working on a project to make virtual objects made up of their version on atoms. These objects are as detailed as 1 million atoms per square inch. They're calling it unlimited detail.

Hoooooooly shit. If this is actually practical, then it will completely revolutionize gaming. The question is, will it actually translate into an actual game as well as it did on the demo?

Just gonna come out and say that will never happen on console, because console gaming isn't real gaming, get a PC. Other than that it looks pretty cool.

In theory that is awesome. I wish we could see what real artist could do with it, because it looks super bland as of right now. However the possibilities are obviously endless.

If it did ever come to consoles I feel like it would be a long time. Since they have already started working on the next generation xbox for example, would it take a new kind of hardware to be able to do this? Or is it all on the game creators and artists? If it does have to do with hardware (and assuming this tech comes to consoles), it'll be a long time coming.

+k for posting this. Super interesting.

Considering the fact that he said they were getting 20fps on the software they were running but could get much more it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to put the right software into the next gen. consoles.

That would be a waste and everyone knows that graphics on PC are 100 times better then a console because of the fact you can upgrade a PC. If you were to put these on console it would be very primitive and non upgradable making for a shitty experience and waiting till the next console to do something better with it.

Jesus christ this.

Who cares, obviously pc's are going to be more powerful. But not everybody can spend thousands on a super power pc just for gaming. Once you get older you'll realize you've got better things to spend your money on, and playing a slightly less impressive game will be worth the money you save.
