'For fourteen years Theo Jansen has been working on creating a new life-form. These creatures consist of walking skeletons made out of yellow electricity tubes. These skeletons are wind powered. Over the years an evolution has occurred, which can be seen in the succeeding generations. Eventually he wants to put these animals on the beach where they will lead their own lives.'

I used to play a game all the time called Soda Constructor. And I remember hearing news a long time ago about this guy on the game's website. The guy actually got alot of his ideas from playing with this game.

that's really cool. it's like a sailboat for a land. or at least a way of harnessing the winds power for potential movement, different from wind generators. it's funny how he wants them to "lead lives of their own." imagine seeing one of those walking up to you.
