the net is designed to do that...... duh. its not fake. it's just like those baseball nets you pitch into and the ball bounces right back to you. all you have to do is hit the net at the right speed and boom. i'm sure it takes a little practice, but that's no crazier than some of the other shit soccer players do.....
 
ha at first i thought he just missed the shot horribly then i realized what he was doing. i did that once when i was actually trying to score but i couldn't juggle it again after it came back to me
 
Definetly not fake... On a real net, the shots will do that if you hit them dead on. If you know anything about soccer, you know who that is, and what he can do...
 
well i certainly know that if soccer players had that kind of accuracy, there wouldn't be much of a game going on.... in fact, what would be the point of a goalie?
 
wouldn't games also be scored in double digits aswell? if players never ever missed the spot they were aiming for, the rules would certain have to change and i know that this is not the case.
 
^ Dude a keeper does a lot more than just save shots. He basically controls his whole defensive line and a player cannot have that kind of shot in a game at all times. If you watch one of those teams at pratice, every shot goes upper or lower 90 while the keeper just stands there and stretches or just goes off to train. But sometimes a keeper does make an amazing save which always helps out.
 
ya dood, ronaldinho kills it, i can do the foot work, not hitting the crossbar and coming back 4 times, i know people who can from that far out though, he is defenitly the best in the sport today
 
I guarentee that wasn't the first try. They prob had to film 20 times before he did that. It's definately very good.

My Mom worked for the PSG (his old team) so I got tickets to soccer games and for warm up he would just come out on the field and start doing shit like that for like 10 minutes.
 
i call bullshit. no one can hit the cross bar 3 times in a row like that.plus, the way the ball bounces back doesnt look like the way a ball naturally comes off a crossbar. it looks fake.

I translated both a danish website and a norwegian website and both report nike ad execs and ronaldinho recently admitting the video is fake. As near as I can tell they say there was another person in the video who kicks the ball back to him, and they have simply removed him from the video using greenscreen techniques.

Also note, that this is crazy, but the 3 guys in the background hardly take notice. All of his teamates claim the video is "impossible" and "fake" in press conferences. Zindane Zidan also claims its fake.

While he is insanely talented, the margin of error is less than a centimeter for that ball to bounce back prefectly. Both the cross bar and ball are round. Think of the physics.

Also, a show on tv appeared where they showed how it was/could be done with a green screen and cameras all around etc etc. Watch the begining of the video when they bring the shoes in. There is a man lying beside the goal who disappears later. What the hell is he doing? anyways check out this forum:

And its pretty much confirmed that it is fake. If it turns out its not fake (i.e. he repeats the stunt) then I retract my statements, I am merely presenting facts and compiling them for you guys. He still has insane skill and deserves to be world footballer of the year.

Also, recall the ads they are running right now of that touchdown catch, jordan missing that shot, all those great sports moments. They were able to edit all the elements of those ones (including the whole crowd in the jordan clip - not celebrating/celebrating) so why not this clip. And the Burger King ad where the King runs in a touchdown. That was all CG (computer graphics).

Conclusion - GREAT PUBLICITY STUNT. Ronaldinho is still one of the best in the world.
 
^ The people taking notice in the back has nothing to do with it. Watch the old commercial with Labron James making those full court shots. His teammates are freaking their shit but it was all acting to make it more believeable.
 
But I guess what I don't get is that the bar actually gets hit all those times. It's undeniable that that bar was hit those 4 times.

As for the guys in the background, I wasn't provided that as proof at all, just an aside. And the Lebron James one is 100% confirmed fake. The ball goes out of the picture and he barely puts any energy behind the shot...are you kidding? Look it up.
 
thank god. you did what i didnt have the energy to do. i was getting tired of "thats the best ever he could do that!" they are soccer players-not gods. besides zidane is the best.
 
yeh this is just like those slim jim commercials. you can tell something is up when the camera zooms out and you can't really see anything.
 
Well just watch the video again. They'd have to rig something really good up to not only have the bar bend just as it would when a shot would hit the crossbar and then create a ripple effect in the net.
