This is pretty messed up

meh, i've seen a couple horses put down. it's either this or lethal injection. the guy seemed to do it in a humane way, that horse wasn't scared at all.

the most disgusting part is when the vet carves off the legs to be sent off for drug research... the river of blood is sickening.

go watch some hunting videos, go shoot a deer and gut it and butcher it yourself. it will get you over this "animal rights" and "inhumane" thing pretty quickly.

After further research, I found out he wants to start a horse slaughter house for human consumption. The horse was probably not sick, he just wants to send a message to the animal rights activists who are trying to stop him.

Idk how he thinks opening a horse slaughter house will earn him money. Horses seem like they would be much more expensive to raise than cows or pigs. If anything this video outraged a lot of people thus screwing his retarded plan.
 
All of what this guy said, my mom had a horse and the barn she had him at put down at least 3 horses in the time he was living there. We dont know the whole story, but once a horse is injured in the slightest a recovery is near impossible and putting it down is the only way to handle it as sad as it is.
 
It's way more sad in movies when animals die, they're always so innocent and not tainted by the failings of man. It's just so ruthless to kill one for no reason [dunno about this guys reason], makes me ashamed of the human race. But, I guess you for one, do not give a shit. That's a fine opinion to have, but other people feel otherwise.
 
ANd has anyone done any background research on this dude? Who in the fuck is Tim Sappington and why would he put his name in the title of this video?
 
This, I don't see what the big deal is. It seems like there's a story to this and everyone is just judging thinking he did it for fun. I thought reading the comments that he tortures it.
 
can you fucking retards not read? per my previous post, HE KILLED THE HORSE TO EAT IT. He put the horse down in a humane manner. He did not break any laws. Anyone who has a problem with this better be a fucking vegetarian because way gnarlier shit than this goes on in slaughter houses across the US/world.

was posting it on the internet a good idea? No, but it's not illegal. there are so many more things that you should be worrying about before you worry about this.

I find this video strangely intriguing. The fine line between life and death that every living thing on the Earth walks at all times is such a strange thought, and seeing it disrupted like that is just chilling and invigorating.
 
People give a shit because no animal needs to die for a human, we just feel like killing them for fur, meat, etc is justified.

We're a bit more advanced than your average animal (well, maybe you aren't), so if animals kill other animals, that's mother nature. Fine. But if we humans are so advanced, why do we still need to resort to killing animals for food and clothing?

It doesn't speak well to our ability to survive when we're supposed to be the dominant species.
 
Learn how a food chain works, average animal that may be one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Were advanced so therefore we shouldn't eat? Go jump in a lion pit if you love animals so much.

well it depends on the perspective. from a lot of standpoints, we are definitely not better.

if you want to go in the "humanity FUCK YEAH" direction, that is a tough and elementary school argument. yes we definitely have grown beyond natural selection and instincts, but its not yet proven that our conscience as a whole is unique, like if emotions and such things are only present in humans. can a dog be happy or sad? most dog owners would agree. a lot of species show empathy beyond obvious evolutionary advantages.

on another note, we, apparently beyond instincts, are the only species that destroys its planet and probably itself KNOWINGLY.

i seriously cannot find a LEGIT argument, why humans are superior to animals to that point which "allows" us to kill animals. yes i am a hypocrite because i am not a vegetarian, but i cannot give a morally sound reason for killing animals which doesnt encourage killing humans as well.

we grew up with this christian point of view of humans inheriting the world from god and being the ruler of it. this mindset found its way into our culture and laws, but this doesnt mean that this is the "correct" way to go after things.
 
Us humans wreck havoc on this sacred and beautiful earth. We are taking a large shit on it, because of our materialistic ideology. Many humans are greedy and oblivious. There is a mighty evil in this world all effectuated and exploited to assist those who are recipricants and beneficiaries. It is the want, the greed of money; the competition, the sake of time, the insight of being better, the excessive desire to possess wealth or materialistic objects of abstract value so as to keep for yourself. All done for wealth, power and status. THis is ruining our delicate earth. Individuals are losing their earthly and spiritual ways, living, following and breathing these powers, in a bubble that is nearly impossible to pop. We are murders. Not because we hunt for food but because we distribute and manufacture food, inhumanly and of a short process so us voluptuous, unmindful, cholesterol ridden humans can overindulge on our way to work. It's these powers and corporations that take a large dump on this earth, they barge through obstacles, and stop at nothing, intemperately filling already full pockets. We will always be ardent consumers unaware of the evil corporations we cater. I hope people agree.

I also really don't get how you can present that view and not be vegan. From an animal rights perspective you are literally no better than the guy in that video. The only thing that makes this guy worse than you is that he tried to offend people. That horse didn't give one single fuck that he filmed this and said what he said.
